Love this place. I always try and visit if I’m in Guernsey as the sushi is really fantastic. Our visit on bank holiday Monday was fun. We ordered an okimari large platter, spicy edamame beans and a miso. Food and service was fantastic even when we realised they had served something dairy in the sushi (son is allergic). They put it right quickly and provided another extra dish and a change of plate and chop sticks

Great venue for lunch or a night out. Smart decor, really great vibe, friendly and fun staff. The food was delicious in both the sushi bar and restaurant. Presentation was fab too plus a super wine list.

It's a funny combination, steaks and sushi. But they pull it off. Steaks looked on point but we only had sushi and drinks, both of which were exceptionally good. Stylish and cool vibe and as central as it gets. This place gets A grade in my book. Best of all - We had been told it's in high demand and hard to get a table but we still managed to get seating for two straight away on a Saturday evening. Service was great too.

We were recommended this place by a few people and we weren't disappointed! The sashimi platter was incredible and we loved the edition of a nettle leaf which really added to the uniqueness of the dish. The shisho leaf taco with crab meat and spicy tuna rolls were delicious too! Service was wonderful and the atmosphere was really warm and inviting. You can tell they really care about your experience. Already wanting to return to Guernsey to come again.

Great sushi and the burger from the main menu was also delicious. Service was a little slow but once they were with you they were very knowledgeable and friendly. Love going to Hook, will be back there again soon!

I live in Guernsey and this is one of my favourite places. Love the sushi and never had a bad meal here. Miso aubergine is amazing and california or ebi roll with crab tacos is my regular order. Tried the ox cheek tonight and loved it too.

My daughter and I arrived in the evening without booking but were made to feel really welcome and seated upstairs at the sushi bar. The service was faultless, the people making the dishes were friendly, and the food was fabulous. We had a selection including the sashimi platter which I know would be a favourite if I were an islander. Would highly recommend.

Great food, bar man was on fire, knowledgeable and friendly. Manager running the floor did kill the mood a bit by putting pressure on staff. Conveniently, whenever he was around he would push them, but not notice that they were already running 2 or 3 services at the same time with a smile in their faces, much harder to carry on when you are not being supported but shouted at.

Every aspect of the evening was perfect! This is by far the best dining experience in guernsey I have ever had. The venue is beautiful and all the details were taken into consideration. The staff are very attentive as we were immediately seated with menus and water. At the sushi bar we were served by the chef who was extremely helpful in suggesting some amazing sushi dishes. To start we had the tempura crab and calamari, the presentation was beautiful and it tasted delicious. We went on to try the dragon rolls, spicy tuna rolls, unagi nigiri and some sashimi. Both a long time sushi fan and stranger to the cuisine were impressed! We finished with a banoffee pie and chocolate tart for dessert. Both could melt in your mouth! I couldn't believe the banoffee pie was gluten and dairy free! I can't forget to mention the incredible bartender who made me some incredible cocktails. She was also very attentive, interacting with us with her trips to and from the bar, which just added the the already fun welcoming experience. I have to say that it is on the more expensive side but worth it 100 times over. Far better than anything else in Guernsey at the same price. In fact it was more than worth the money because between my friend and I we tipped 25%! For anyone who wants an amazing dining experience in Guernsey, whether you're a local or just visiting, go no further than The Hook!

Beautiful dinner here, the Beef Wellington was divine, wonderfully cooked steak with a pate, mushroom and pastry that was lovely. The daupinoise were great and the gravy was rich and tangy, offering a twist to the rest of the meal. I had the special for desert, a Blueberry Bakewell Tart, smooth creamy ice cream, sublime tart and a tangy, sweet blueberry jam setting off the meal wonderfully. If there was a downside, it was the mark up on the wine, a fabulous selection that comes at a cost. Overall, I look forward to coming back!

Without fault. The upstairs cocktail bar is a lively bar with utlra-modern decor and top end cocktails ranging from the classics to their own playful twists. It's a great place to come for an aperitif before heading downstairs to the restaurant.... .....where the nicest surprise was the sushi; some of the best I have had anywhere in the world. The boat, whilst pricey, was burgeoning with sushi and fish of all kinds and each piece was delicious. Our non-sushi-lover in our group had a cod risotto which they assured the rest of us was equally divine. The hardest part was choosing a bottle of wine from the wine list which was even more full than the sushi boat (I recommend the red zinfandel)! It's wonderful that Guernsey, after years of people lamenting the lack of anything modern and 'en vogue', finally has a place such as this that would not look out of place in a major city. Bravo to the team behind The Hook and may their success continue for a long time.

Try the Philli roll - salmon with cream cheese. And they have gluten free soy sauce too, just ask!

Lovely food. Very fresh and tasty sushi and excellent steaks. The nice atmosphere is ruined a lot when you have to go upstairs through a grotty smelly corridor used for storage and ice machine to the really substandard, dark, unclean-looking toilets. If they could clean all that up the place would be perfect.
