Beautiful food! Massive portions! Friendly owner who chatted with us throughout. Will Definitely return, even all the ay from Leicester. A+++
Update: June 23, still a nice pub, but the menu is a little limited. The fish and chips good, also the chicken burger and the lamb kofta, but the king prawn linguini was lacking in flavour and they didn't have any parmesan cheese. Good service, ok selection of beers, but just not quite as good as i

Stayed here on Coronation weekend Sunday in my campervan. Loads of space out in the car park. Warm welcome from Fred & Nikki. We joined in the banter with the locals. Drank some great beer and ate some superb food. Thanks F & N and to all your friendly locals. Pat
Hosts Fred and Nikki very friendly and welcoming. Lovely old building with great outdoor tables and covered pods. Ordered ciabatta sandwich with sausages, bacon and an egg. Couldn't even finish it! Delicious! Staff very good too. Highly recommended in this lovely little village, plenty of space in t
The food was good except for the under cooked parsnips that were very pale and almost raw. The portions of apple sauce and horse radish were very tiny between 6 of us, we had to ask for another serving. The service was good, the staff very friendly and professional.
Stayed over night in the motorhome with EHU which was a very reasonable £10. The spot was very level and the hard standing great for all weather. We were greeted by Fred and Nikki and given a warm welcome whilst being directed to all amenities available. Stayed and had pensioners lunch the next day
As motorhomers, these pub stopovers are a gem to find. Beautiful setting, friendly welcome and great food. Look forward to returning 😊
My wife and I stayed here overnight in our motorhome 22nd September 23 as a stop off on our way to Suffolk from Yorkshire. Fred and Nikky were fantastic hosts and the regulars were very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. We took advantage of the EHU at £10 (bargain) per night We ate
Great place. We'll looked after and Chef Jo is amazing. The landlord and land lady are very accommodating. Huge beer garden and plenty of seating inside and out. The food menu is varied, freshly cooked and can't praise the Chef enough.
A beautiful place with great outside seating in the well kept garden. We had the fish and chips which were delicious, the service and warm welcome was excellent, we would highly recommend.
Had Sunday lunch here today. Really good food with great service.
Can't recommend this place highly enough, food was superb and good choice of drinks, staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledge. I had the burger, best I've had in years!
What an excellent stop of for us in our campervan. We were meeting friends and this was ideal. Fred made us very welcome. The food was excellent, the atmosphere great. I would definitely recommend this place. We will definately come again.
Lovely venue, staff and owners very friendly and welcoming, good selection of wines. Food delicious, great menu, not extensive but well thought out, gluten free, dairy free vegan and vegetarian options available. Fairly priced. Ample parking onsite. Disabled access. Immaculately clean toilets. L
