The staff were super friendly and very accommodating to our rescue dog Darcey who has behaviour issues. We Sat outside away from everyone to enjoy our first meal out at a pub on holiday with our dogs. The food was just lovely, the staff were superb gave us some dog biscuits, and when they turned up with our food gave Darcey room. Thank you all so very much! Would definitely visit again next time we are visiting Cornwall.

Have visited this place a few times now & always been satisfied - we went there yesterday lunch time and once again we were pleased. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful- the food was excellent as always- we’ve previously visited when we’ve had our dog with us, they always made us welcome- I can’t fault this place at all, and next time we are in Cornwall will definitely visit again.

Lovely pub, very dog friendly and the people who served us were really friendly. Food came quickly and was perfectly cooked, we had lobster and chips. They even came outside with water for our two dogs. Thanks for a great meal and lovely atmosphere:)

Excellent, Not always enough bar staff on though at busy times, eg school holidays. Thought Rick Stein would have had enough money to employ more bar staff

We’ve visited here many times before and always have a fantastic time. Turned up at 5, straight from Harlyn beach with a very wet and sandy dog, which wasn’t any problem. Staff are absolutely fantastic, they really make our visit special for us. The food was lovely as well, as it has been every time we visit.

Once again, The Cornish Arms has provided a fantastic all-round experience. Food was excellent, service even better. Slight misunderstanding on the order - minor thing - immediately remedied without question by the staff. We love you, The Cornish Arms!

We decided to treat ourselves to a decent meal while camping nearby. We had starters and mains, a beer and Rick Stein gin and the bill came in at £83. A bit on the stronger side, but the service was impeccable and the food amazing. Steak was right up in my top 3 of all time and the chips were the best I reckon I've ever tasted. Not a budget place, but I felt the price was justified by the fantastic food we had. I'd go again, just for the steak, but definitely only go there with someone who'll appreciate the quality.

We had lunch so can't attest to the rooms. Everything was great. They'd had a few people ring in sick, so the staff were rushed off their feet! But that never effected the service, food came promptly and we never short of a drink. Scallops were lovely as was the piti piri chicken. Very good chips 🤩 Everything was well priced too. Would recommend.

Lovely little pub with plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. They have two separate menus (one run by the pub and one run by a pizza van that’s outdoors). Plenty of beers on tap and the service is nice. We ordered a vegetarian pizza and the chicken pesto pizza - both were excellent. The base was soft, and felt very fresh. Flavors were on point, and I’m very surprised the quality of the food!

This is a pub that provides high-quality pub food with low-end service. My fish curry was very tasty, and the other meals we had were equally good pub grub. It's really crowded even on a weekday, so the service is terribly slow and unremarkable. It took an hour to get our main meal after ordering and the servers never came back to offer more drinks or check on us. We were a family of 5 plus a dog, and despite prebooking, we were cramped on a table for 4 with a chair at the end, which is one of my pet hates. Some of the chairs in the pub have cushioned seats, but we were stuck with hard chairs with napkin thin seat pads. We left without dessert because we were so uncomfortable. I wanted to mention all this to the manager but he didn't seem that bothered. The rick stein brand ensures a full restaurant so I doubt they care what people really think. Last year we went to Rick Stein's St Pedroc bistro in Padstow and that was so much better. I wouldn't bother coming back.

Best steak pie of my life! The flavour, seasoning, filling, pastry texture were absolutely delicious. A side of beetroot went very well with it. The kale was a bit chewy, but that's the nature of the beast. The mash tasted like school dinner mash - I like that. The food is all excellent. Lovely and efficient staff, and the dining area and pub are relaxing and pretty.

A staycation isn’t complete without a trip to a traditional pub, and what better that to a renowned chefs traditional pub set in beautiful surroundings near Padstow. We were looking forward to this lunch time visit and we weren’t disappointed. On arrival we were soon seen to our table and to our waitress. The menu was reviewed as we needed to know gluten free options and this was discussed in depth so we were clear what could be adapted. Waitress very knowledgeable about food on menu and very chatty. Great to see so many local drinks on offer on the menu. Of course we sampled a selection of ale and wine. The food arrived, quicker than expected, and we were not disappointed. No complaints from this table of 6. Portion size was ideal, not smothering the plate or too dainty. Fish and chips are highly recommended , crispy batter and melt in the mouth fish. The steak pies looked and smelt like a good option, almost had a touch of food envy. Only note we had on the visit was the table service. On the day the restaurant was full and the waitress was flying around covering tables. She didn’t make it back to check everything was ok until we had all finished, which she commented on at the time and we had to wait a long time for the bill. All in all a great meal out and a great venue. Quality of food and drink was to the standard we would expect for such a venue and the view wasn’t bad, even on a cloudy overcast day.

Great pub and restaurant also serves some excellent food in its attached restaurant. Also has a large beer garden where there is a Wood fired Pizza hut that is a great spot to spend some time in on a nice day. Owned and operated by Celebrity Chef Rick Stein.

Fantastic food. Great atmosphere. Lovely setting and building. The staff were excellent. We had 4 three course meals, all different and all were equally as good as each other. We all really enjoyed the whole experience, thank you.

With all of Stein’s places to eat this is probably I’m the one with the best value for money. They pub is very busy, particularly in the summer season so it is better to biome well in advance. The staff are excellent and the food of good quality.

Love this place, it has grown from the old small pub that it was, now extended but no loss of atmosphere. The surroundings are fabulous. Staff are excellent.
