Great find! Fantastic food and service. They found us a table even though we hadn’t booked. A rare find indeed.
Called in on the off chance to see if we could get a table, we were told there would be a 40 minute wait so had a drink at the bar. It was well worth the wait the food was delicious we will definitely re visit but will book in advance next time
Rafferty's Rock Pool wow, Michelin star quality for sure! What a wonderful place, been here a few times, and never had a bad experience, not ever. Prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of food and service. I would highly recommend this restaurant...better visit after going to Rick Stein first, because after you've tasted Rafferty's, you're left wondering if Rick Stein has robbed you! Fantastic with kids and couples alike.
Fantastic food and great service. Took my parents there whilst on holiday, and before we'd even finished our meal we booked in again for the following week. Lovely wine selection as well! Also our well behaved dog was welcome which was a big plus for us
We're on holiday, visiting from Leeds and had the loveliest evening there. The food was outstanding. For starters we had one of the oysters, the grilled asparagus and the scallops. For the main we shared the whole lobster and sirloin steak, cooked to absolute perfection. For dessert we had espresso martinis and a chocolate cheesecake with espresso ice cream. It was one of the nicest meals we've had in ages. The service was great, warm welcoming and genuine. The owner is lovely. Highly recommended :)
Genuinely incredible experience! We arrived without a booking and were seated without any issues, the waiting staff are incredibly friendly and were on top of all our needs. The food was absolutely stunning, will be returning here and adding to the favourites!
If i could give Rafferty's 10 stars i would! We ate out very late last night and Rafferty's very graciously accomodated us..plus little one and our dog. The very lovely waiter we had very nicely brought over a dog bowl with fresh water for our doggo and also a doggy snack. The food was second to none..the scallops were the best i had ever tasted..cooked and marinated to absolute perfection!! The welcome we received, the 10 star service, the atmosphere, and the incredible food..will now be our favourite place to eat when in Cornwall. I just wish we had Rafferty's closer to home😄

We spent a lovely evening with friends at Rafferty's on Saturday 15th August. All 6 of us loved the food and the service was great. I would thoroughly recommend the Rockpool starter. Reasonably priced too so well worth a visit if you're in the Padstow area.
Love this place, super food, dog friendly and really welcoming owner and staff. It’s nice to eat well and be welcomed rather than be another sausage in a celebrity chef sausage machine pub
Great food and service, generous servings (maybe too generous) and no pressure to move on.
We had a fabulous meal during our stay in St Merryn. We had steaks, scallops and wings and it was all scrummy!
The staff were also super friendly.
We highly recommend this restaurant.

Good food at a good price, large portions and homely food are the order of the day. Serves a lot of fresh fish which is excellent.

Started off badly with squashed in table near the toilets and view of kitchen hatch - however moved tables and food was definitely the best of the restaurants we have been to in the area recently. Lovely menu with lots of great options. Cocktails, Starters, Steak, lobster and burger all excellent. Will definitely return and just specify table next time( this was the only bad table in small restaurant so don’t be put off).
Lost count of how many times we have enjoyed a meal here as we are never disappointed. Bought our friends and they loved it too. Highly recommend saving space for the Churros!
The starters were a bit disappointing. The spicy prawns were a bit bland but the calamari was good. The mains were good. The fish was fresh and tasty and the steak looked great. Wine was reasonably priced. Oh the dessert sharing board was really good. A very pleasant evening in a busy and friendly restaurant.
