The end of of stay in the Scillies coincided with the first day of opening for the season at Carn Vean. We had visited before and didn't think it could get better, we were wrong. The food, the service, the speed and friendly welcome was excellent. The value for money is very good and way better than
Beautiful, quaint and perfect little tea break for a walk round the island.
However, food leaves a bit to be desired. Too much salad on the microwaved sandwiches and smaller than average scones for the high price…
We stopped off here for lunch during our hike around the coastline of St Mary’s. We both agreed that the best lunch of our trip was had at Carn Vean! Such a lovely location and great fresh food. Just what we needed. Also loved watching the little birds! Thank you
A lovely oasis in the middle of nowhere! Lots of outdoor seating, with good basic menu. Recommended
Amazing food, so relaxing sat in the beautiful garden. Kids love looking at the chickens and birds. A truly magical place to have lunch! 100% recommend
This place was one of the most welcoming I have ever been too. It is cash only so be prepared. The lovely lady said we can drop the money back later on but we had enough between us. Out of the back gate and 5 minute walk later you are on one of the most beautiful beaches and seashells galore! Highly
Stopped in for coffee and cake. Absolutely delicious Jaffa cake slice! Having seen the sandwiches and food leaving the kitchen we will be back for lunch soon. Highly recommend and great location.
Superb Tea Room. Quite a distance from the main town, but we'll worth the walk. It's very popular, so many people would agree. Large, outdoor seating area that's sheltered from the wind. Some indoor seating if the weather is bad. Extensive menu to suit every taste, & the cakes were the best I've eve

Lovely treats and incredible setting. Couldn't resist going back almost every day because the experience was so good.
Amazing cafe and garden with avery, had my 1st Cornish Pastie in Cornwall and it was delicious and huge. Well worth a visit to rest your legs and have a decent bite to eat.
