The George Inn - St Mary Bourne - Photo album

Delightful, proper old pub in a beautiful village. All nooks and crannies and little wood panelled rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent ales. Lovely choice on the menu and excellent food. Freshly cooked scotch egg anyone?
Almost perfect, but the advertised cooked breakfast wasn't available, the Sunday roast beef was tough, and the pillows weren't very comfortable. Such a shame as it's a great place otherwise. We really enjoyed the quiz, which I think is the first Sunday of the month and the lady who does it is reall
Stayed here for one night. Rooms are a good size, comfy bed with a great shower and wet room. Had dinner and the food was lovely. All well priced. Staff very nice and attentive. Would stay again if visiting. Our dog enjoyed his stay as well!
Set in the centre of lovely St Marybourne, The George is now being run by people who are dedicated to good food and drink in a nice setting. The menu is interesting and varied, and offers good pub cuisine at affordable prices - even early in the week when others often close their kitchens. The staff
This is how pubs should be. So often we get dreary overpriced food, but not at the George. Excellent beer and well cooked food especially the fresh al dente vegetables. They still do a good Sunday Lunch, which I was beginning to think was extinct. Well done!
Good food and a decent selection of local beers on tap. The only quarm I have is the owner would rather sit and chat with the locals then serve at the bar. Disappointing whilst I only stopped whilst driving through as I expected more hospitality.
This is a gorgeous no frills village pub, and by that, I mean wooden floors, wooden tables and wooden chairs. The staff were very welcoming and the food was delicious; my wife had the ploughman's and I had the chicken linguine. We shared the sticky toffee dessert which was simply to die for and plen
Best haddock and chips I have had in a long time; lovely crisp batter. Worth a visit just for that. Friendly staff and good service 👍
Great village pub, unpretentious and lovely food. The burger is amazing, the truffle and parmesan fries are to die for. Highly recommend.
Great first impressions, staff very friendly and accommodating, lovely village pub with good food.
