Just home from a fabulous night out at Robertson's. Me and my friends went out for a festive fizzy tea and I can't recommend it enough. Food was lovely! Service great! All the little details they did was brill. The place was lovely and cosy and very welcoming. Music not too loud but loud enough to sing along to when a cracker of a song came on. Me and my friends came away thinking we can't wait till we go back. :-) Merry Christmas to you all, you have made a group of lasses feel very festive indeed!

This place is superb. Spent 3 hours gently taking in lunch. Some grand ale and wine and decent tucker. It's a delight to be inside of with a great ambience. It's a shame I live in Birsay otherwise I'd never be out. Highly recommended, but suggest ringing to book as we did.

We had a lovely family lunch with four adults and three kids. Service was very friendly and efficient. The food was very fresh and generous portions at a reasonable price. We don't normally venture so far from the west mainland but will definitely be back. The mojito was lovely too!!

Worth five stars from every aspect, and definitely worth travelling all the way from Evie to The Hope for! We will cross those Churchill Barriers, come hell or high water!

A trip to St Margaret's Hope for lunch, to try out Robertsons. A little wait for lunch because they were so busy! Really good atmosphere, very well priced food and friendly staff. The building itself is gorgeous, really quirky and well planned out. The extra touch of local crafts for sale and an area laid out with visitor information is great. There is some seating outside too and a nice little conservatory.

Great cafe/bar with a good food menu. There’s a great outside seating area for when the weathers nice. Great cocktail & mocktail menu at a reasonable price. Staff were young but enthusiastic and helpful.

I give a lot of five star reviews and then I encounter a business like Robertson's where the food and especially the service go so far beyond the norm that five stars just isn't enough. The food was great, tasty, plentiful, locally sourced and well priced. however, what really made it was the service. Fiona was so friendly and helpful with things to do on Orkney. We came away with loads of info. then on paying Kaitlyn was great sourcing coin for us (don't ask!) We're only here for the week but I can see us eating here several times.

Best lentil soup I've ever had. Great coffee - triple shot if you like it strong. Delicious moist carrot cake with yummy icing. These people do good real food.

Charming place, great for lunch. Service was lovely and atmosphere great. It's beautifully decorated. Small souvenir section with locally produced items and another section with leaflets and info, like a mini tourist information. My burger was a little underwhelming (it was just a bap with a patty, no onion/ lettuce/ tomato nor ketchup or mustard). But overall still a lovely experience.

Friendly, clean, nicely decorated place, serving lovely home cooked food. We had a tasty lasagne served with chips and a great side salad that included coleslaw and a fabulous stuff crust Hawaiian pizza, and some good tasty local beers. Perfect and convenient ( just a few minutes away) for the ferry. Would highly recommend.

Just came off ferry and needed lunch. Had managed to reserve a table in advance via WhatsApp. Great selection of dishes using local produce. Also lovely scones and cakes. Highly recommended.

We popped in here on a Sunday afternoon in May. It’s a small establishment with a few tables for coffee inside, plus some outdoor seating as well. The lady who served us was lovely and very welcoming. Both myself and my husband had the soup, which was delicious. It was lentil, with added vegetables - properly Scottish and traditional. I’m Scottish and wish my lentil soup could taste so good! I had a soft drink and my husband had a pint. We would definitely return if we ever come back to the Orkney Isles.

We were having a cup of tea at the Skerries Bistro. We asked the waitress there what she suggested we do with our afternoon and she said to get some tray bakes from Robertson's as they were really good and go eat them on the beach. We came to St Margaret's Hope and found it and as it was such a lovely day, sat outside Robertson's with tea, coffee and two tray bakes and shared them. She was right, they were really tasty.
