Went specifically for afternoon tea and was not disappointed. Nothing better on a cold, rainy day than a nice cuppa. I enjoyed every bit of it but especially recommend the scones with clotted cream and strawberry preserves.
My friend and I were visiting Plymouth when we passed by Shelly’s Tea Rooms. We were in awe but we’re sad to notice when it was 5:15pm but they close at 5. That was when Shelly let us right in and let us sit, have some tea, and told us to take our time. This place is the cutest place ever, the ambia
We took my mum to Shellys Tea Rooms for a birthday lunch. First thing-make a reservation. When we were there it was a full house, very popular. The owner was really nice and treated us very well. The selection of food and tea to choose from was very extensive. The food itself was really scrummy as
Absolutely charming and had the best scone I've ever had! Wonderful surprise on our trip!
Such a lovely time at the tea room today! The tea was delightful and the whole experience was amazing!! Our group had the regular Windsor option and the vegan Windsor. The vegan scones and options were phenomenal! They even had gluten free options (we did not have any of those) What a treat to go so
First time visitor to Shelly’s after much wait and anticipation- it was absolutely lovely! We started with hot mulled wine tea? Then moved on to our pots or tea (I got Victorian afternoon) We got to try all of the finger sandwiches (not pictured) all delicious ( Egg and Cucumber were my favorites) T
Teatime was truly a delight! What a unique and special place. Plymouth is lucky to be home to such a warm and delicious experience. The scones with jam, butter and clotted cream was perfection and the chai tea was one of the best we’ve ever had. Call to make a reservation or you’ll be disappointed t
Had a wonderful afternoon of tea and treats with friends. The owners are the sweetest people ever. The tea list was amazing and varied. Had Victorian Afternoon tea, cucumber sandwiches, and crumpets with fresh clotted cream. Don't miss this amazing taste of Britain in nearby Plymouth!
The British accents of the workers was the icing on the cake. I could just let em sit and chat a bit. And they have Gluten free items! Loved It!
We love coming to Shelly's and we think what she and her husband are bringing to Court Street is a wonderful addition.
