Classy decor and ambient lighting. We enjoyed the tasting menu. The food was presented beautifully, and most importantly tasted absolutely delicious. The staff were very friendly and accommodating of our big party, with kids. Thank you for a wonderful evening. We recommend highly.

AMA is a little diamond in the rough, out of place as a fine dining establishment in the midst of the fish and chips and kebab shops of St Leonard. But it’s defiantly worth a short trip out of Hastings for all on its own.
The pescatarian tasting menu we had featured a Japanese inspired poppy seed crusted tuna, seared to perfection and served on a bed of couscous infused with basil. Sea bass was served as a paupiette with a tartare filling packed with fresh fruity flavours.
The staff were amazingly attentive and responsive to questions, knowledgeable of the food and clearly communicating with the chef effectively for timings and to bring our pairings and to answer questions, but this isn’t an overly formal or stuffy place. Wear a shirt but leave the jacket at home.
Pricing on TripAdvisor suggested ££££ but our tasting menu was £70 and a very reasonable wine pairing menu was £35, for 6 courses, Cocktails at the end were only £10 each and were perfectly silky smooth espresso martinis.
This is genuinely a destination worth going out of your way for, Mayfair cuisine at St Leonard’s pricing.
The food was stunning and all of our party had a great time. We will be definitely coming back soon and are so glad we found this restaurant. Possibly the best restaurant food I have had for a long time. We had the taster menu.
Went to AMA for a birthday meal and we had an excellent experience. We had a tasting menu with the paired wines which I'd recommend. Wonderful food and attentive service. Lovely to see the Chef himself about his art in the kitchen. Great night.
Such a great find.. a stylish restaurant with funky cocktail lounge. The food was exceptional, four of us ate from the 3 course set menu and vegetarian and non vegetarian options. Each course was beautifully presented and the flavours were exciting and complex. This is a restaurant worth travelling to and a delight to eat at.

Friday night after a week in Hastings as a base. Booked a special night away from fish and chips, which we’d had already. A quiet night for this restaurant before full service tomorrow. They could easily have used Covid-19 as an excuse to cancel the bookings but no, full staff , great service, we did the tasting menu with matched wines (swapped out the dessert wine for other half who doesn’t do sweet wines with no problem at all). Food delicious, exceptional pork dish, and a wee break in the middle - all great. Complimentary limoncello accepted. A personal goodnight from the kitchen staff as they went. What’s not to like. Come on Hastings/Bexhill embrace the opportunities on your doorstep! They need all the year round footfall not just the tourists getting lucky.
This place is the very definition of fine dining, the food is simply incomparable to anything you'll find in Hastings and deserves high praise for carving a much needed alternative to those who truly appreciate exquisite food.
I discovered it by accident but been back many times and can't recommend enough. Your in for a treat.
Have been here several times now. Every time the food has been superb and they do a great espresso martini. I really enjoyed the piano entertainment before my dinner with family. I recommend the tuna and venison.
We made a booking for a Sunday 20th June, 3 weeks ago, the restaurant has since stoped taking bookings for Sunday’s, however to our amazement they accommodated us with the chef restaurant and the staff and gave us the full vip treatment
The food was outstanding and the 3 courses were amazing, i fact would say it’s the best meal we have both ever had and would highly recommended this restaurant to everyone what a wonderful experience and we both thank you for an amazing day xx
