My partner and I went for lunch on bank holiday Monday a few weeks ago. Very good quality food, cozy atmosphere and definitely one of the gems of the area.

This small hole in the wall, was a beautiful evening all round! 1) book ahead to ensure a table as it was absolutely packed and back to back covers! 2) the atmosphere was lovely very intimate despite being so busy, the decorations inside are lovely and the walls are lined with wine which you can drink and buy! 3) the restaurant is dog friendly so let them know ahead of time and they will make sure you have a table appropriate for your pooches! 4) the food... We tried a bit of each section of the menu and it was all delicious, each dish totally unique and packed with flavour! We had an array of vegetarian, meat and seafood dishes and each one was delicious! We ordered a saussicon platter and some oysters to start and those were so fresh and perfectly balanced. The small plates we ordered 4 and each was a lovely little experience, from fully shelled prawns with their gorgeous sauce, some ceviche that had so much punch we both felt it for hours!! Also my boyfriend said the chips were the best he's ever eaten and we used them to soak up all the sauces across the different dishes! After our 6-7 dishes we were stuffed! Will definitely go back again and would love more people to experience this menu! Really affordable too for you to make sure you get full for your budget! Thanks for the Amazon dinner guys!

Very enjoyable meal with excellent cooking across a wide range of dishes - highlights of goat’s curd and honey, potted shrimp, cod brandade, special of skate. Horseradish cream with the flat-iron was a little under-powered. Great bottle of Vouvray at very reasonable price. Lovely, intelligent service. Would certainly return.

We eat at the farm yard as much for the ambiance as the food. That being said the food is exceptional. I feel the wine is hot and miss but that's just a personal note and I should take more time before choosing. Overall its got an intimate vibe so if your out on a date I'd highly recommend and most dishes are aimed at sharing.

Very nice evening at farmyard. Staff managed to fit us in at short notice after we rang. We had oysters, followed by cougette fritters (with creamed cheese) and two specials - lamb belly with truffle potatoes and a seafood (quid & prawns) dish with olives and padron peppers. Lots of wine options, very attentive staff, a great date spot!

Home dining; on time and delicious. 12 individual dishes. Many dishes were warm; some we popped into low temp oven. So varied each cooked beautifully. Book the restaurant for 17th May...and onwards through the year. It really is a star and deserves to full 5 star award. CH

Sadly, I rarely write reviews. But my evening at Farmyard had such a big impact on me, I thought I should share how much I loved having dinner here. The restaurant feels casual and cosy but still refined. My husband and I intended on having a small dinner and sharing a bottle of wine, but the food was so incredible we just kept ordering. Although the food felt seasonally British and clearly they use a lot of local produce it had a Mediterranean/Middle Eastern influence and tasted just delicious. The service was also wonderful; relaxed, attentive and warm. Bravo! We will be back x

What a fantastic little place! We stumbled upon it on the way from St Leonards train station and knew we had to visit it. Not only we dined there once but ended up having 2 dinners during our 3-days long trip. Delicious, seasonal food, lovely service, cosy interior (great Spotify playlist!) and an extensive wine menu. What a gem!

This place was recommended by a friend, it's very cute but all in all it was too expensive for what it actually was. The wine was good but the glasses are smaller than average. Starters were fine (nothing remarkable) and mains don't include a side, so you're basically paying 30 pounds for a steak and nothing else. The fillet was very chewy, the rib eye was good. Service was friendly but really slow. A bit of a shame as I had high expectations for it!

Fantastic restaurant! The atmosphere is brilliant and the staff are very friendly. They have a great wine menu with good locally sourced food on the menu. A must if you are in the area. Also keep an eye out for the dogs as they are very cute.

This place made me consider moving to St. Leonards-on-sea! Rustic, cozy, brick wall, wood, local ingredients, natural wine, good food! What a great experience! From the cloth napkins to the great wine selection and food menu designed to share on the table! Ticked all the boxes! Absolutely fantastic! Looking forward to return to have another meal here!

Outstanding atmosphere, service, aesthetic and food. We went there expecting a nice meal, what we got was something much more substantial. The food is so well thought out and brilliantly executed. One of the best meals we have ever been served. Fantastic restaurant.
