This family run cafe is well worth the journey. Good people, serving good food, whilst fostering an atmosphere you want to return to. The food is the right blend between unpretentious and bold, incorporating flavourful twists on classics. The service is pitch perfect, kindness is infused into every gesture, it's warm and welcoming whilst calm and efficient. I'm writing this review after our first visit, we planned to tour local eateries, but after visiting here we're now quite content with returning multiple times during our stay. A very special place indeed.

Food was delicious, service was excellent. My sister said I got breakfast envy as I opted for fruit yoghurt honey and side of toast (which was amazing) and then I saw the full English. I think I should have ordered both 😀. Highly recommend.

In the heart of the forest lyes a quiet nest where a chorus of birds wakes you up. Fat apple camp site is green, spacious, right on the coastal path, away from the crowd & walking distance from a cosy pebble beach. Cherry on the cake: the family's running the site serves you freshly cooked breakfast,  lunch & tea  with locally sourced ingredients from their cosy café - The Fat Apple Café. Thank you Ed for your friendliness & chillout attitude. Thanks Phoebe for your flexibility & smiles. Thanks to head  Chef Jacci & Chef Hector for your yummy & colourful menu with unique combinations of flavours. See you next year for the 40 years anniversary of Living Movement.  Coralie, Léa & Sabin (July 2023)

Amazing, third visit now and it's always great. A beautiful selection of food. We sat outside with our young kids, a lovely family run place. I couldn't recommend more highly.

A family run all hands to the deck type of set up. Business seemed good.Tempting tasty menu, all based around amazing salads and breakfasts. The service was good considering how busy they were. We had booked which was lucky as carpark and picnic tables outside filled up about an hour after opening. There was lots of shelter from the sun ideal for parents with children. A gift shop, plant sales were a welcome distraction while we waited for our lunch. The owner was very busy as dealt with visitors arriving for the camping pitches on the land behind the venue as well.

WOW, what can I say. I ate one of the best breakfasts of my life at this place. You cannot walk along the coast path and not stop here. Like the writers of the Salt Path found the food is to die for. All dishes are made from fresh and use local ingredients. The staff are very friendly and make you feel at home. Prices are reasonable given the location and high quality of food. Dogs welcome and the cafe is situated 2 minute walk off the coast path that runs between Porthoustock and Porthallow.
