The Plantation. On our way through the very picturesque village of Polperro we kept an eye open for lunch, there were a few places but only one option that shone out and made the choice very easy. A beautiful hot day so I can only comment on the garden but it was gorgeous. Plenty of shade and the tables well set out along the wall with the stream running alongside. Our servers were all friendly and top marks to the lady who came out to apologise for the delay in the milkshake we ordered (not as fluffy as they wanted but still tasted great) Sad to hear the lasagne was sold out (it's probably great) we ordered as per the photos a BLT, kids jacket potato and soup of the day which was Dhall with a cheese scone, all very tasty and fresh. A personal highlight for me was seeing Sharps Offshore on the menu! If you visit Polperro go here for lunch (and if you like fudge visit the shop just up the road!) you won't be disappointed with either!!!

We walked past and decided to fuel our lunch and cold drink in the hot weather. We sat on table 11 and called a lady to order as dont know how long would it takes for order and foods since car parking hours was almost ended. She started with unpleasant eyesight at us as if we interrupted her to continue what she wanted to do. I asked as if we can get two ice waters, she pointed us it was on the table under the hot sun. We had two becks, one lasagne, tuna sandwich and children menu half baked potato with tuna mayo. All costed c.£40. To be honest, foods average, drink average but sitting in the garden on sunny day was not bad.

Visited mid week for a spot of lunch, and very nice it was too! Lovely fresh salad, generous portions and a good beer to wash it all down. We'll behaved dogs are made very welcome, they even get treats! It was cool and showery so we ate inside, but for the better weather there is a large outdoor seating area. A very pleasant all round experiece.

We visited here on 19/09/2023 for breakfast at 10am when they open. We were met with a warm welcome and so was our dog. The staff were wonderful and very friendly. We ordered the full English breakfast which was 2 of everything and had mushrooms, eggs, tomatoes, baked beans , hash browns, sausages, bacon and black pudding and a separate plate of toast and butter. We have to say that this has to be one of the best breakfasts we have ever had and we were full for the rest of the day. It was piping hot, fresh and very tasty. Highly recommend visiting this place and we will certainly go back.

We stumbled upon this walking through the streets. The staff are friendly and very welcoming. The range of food is great including the usual sandwiches, baguettes, Jackets and cream teas. Reasonably priced and prompt service. Worth a stop and you’ll leave full and satisfied.

Oh, it’s a wonderful place in Polperro for breakfast or lunch. But the most wanted here is afternoon cream tea! Finally we had it in The Plantation. That was a perfect Sunday treat. When there is no need to rush and you can enjoy fresh scones with jam and cream. You can seat inside or outside un a lovely garden. Just pure some tea and relax.

Visited today, very accommodating to our needs with one person vegan , one person can't have white carbs and they tweaked things for us. Really lovely food and good value. Highly recommended.

The most delicious Cornish cream tea in Polperro, two scones each with clotted cream and jam plus a pot of tea; best scones I’ve ever eaten x

From the moment we were greeted with a friendly smile we expected this place to be great, and it was! So many gluten free options, which is rare. Cream tea and Cornish pasties were fabulous! Staff very helpful and happy, Only wish we lived closer so we could visit more often. Thank you ❤️

Just gets a ‘4’ because the Marie Rose ‘sauce’ you could literally pour from a bottle, tasteless prawn sandwiches and my partner’s tuna sandwich, well, it looked like a whole tin of tuna had been mashed up and plonked between two slices of bread, filling was far too much and ended up being left. Service was good, surroundings and atmosphere fine but our experience, sadly, did not meet our expectations.

Been going to this place for roughly 30 years and it just gets better. Food was brilliant and still relatively cheap for what you get. Nice friendly staff too. Lovely garden to sit out in and admire them lovely scenery. Definitely recommend. Milkshake were great.

Polperro is enchanting with its quaint and picturesque streets and The Plantation Tea Rooms is just delightful. We visited on Monday 8th August and had the good fortune to have the lovely warm weather during our holiday. We had taken a boat trip from Looe to Polperro ,courtesy of a lovely gentleman by the name of Colin Matthews, so we had a couple of hours to enjoy Polperro. As it was particularly warm and we had our lovely beagle with us , we were mindful to seek some respite from the heat .We came across this charming tea room with very pretty gardens and asked to be seated in the shade. We decided to sample a cornish cream tea . It was quite simply the best cream tea I have tasted. The setting was quite stunning. I could have stayed there all afternoon ,it was so pretty, and relaxing. My son called it The enchanted garden , and it was .The service was welcoming and friendly , which to be fair can be said for majority of places in Cornwall , but they were particularly helpful and welcoming , the garden stunningly attractive and the cream tea sublime. A little peace of heaven .

Lovely place to spend a lazy afternoon. I ordered a ploughman's lunch. How I got through it is one of life's mysteries 😊

Huge thank you for being so absolutely amazing for my coeliac daughter! All staff couldn’t do enough to explain and keep our minds at rest as to how you cater to be coeliac safe Especially thank you to Fay who greeted us at the entrance in such a friendly and helpful manor and looked after us and made sure any staff preparing food/serving us also knew The food was all delicious especially the cream tea which I had! The scones were the freshest most fluffy scones I’ve ever had! After our meal we left with lots gluten-free takeaway cakes as they are made by a lady who only makes gluten free cakes (would love to know her details as they were amazing) wondering how long they will last…not long with two teenagers! Thank you again so nice to be able to eat out as a family whilst on holiday X forgot to add it’s also dog friendly and at the end out dogs got lots of attention with treats from Fay 🐾🐾
