Had lunch on a Saturday. We had the CBLT, scotch egg and dirty fries. The food was delicious. A bit more expensive than average but totally worth it. Would definitely recommend and will be going back again. Staff all friendly and out order was taken quickly. The pub was really well layed out and bigger than it looks on the outside. The well with a glass top was a great touch.

Wonderful place with amazing food and friendly staff. I ordered ribs there, so far the best I have ever enjoyed, soft and tasty, definitely recommend. Several draft beers, my favourite Hobgoblin among them. Thanks for the nice time there.

Good food and wine but always overbooked/rammed. I'd recommend going here but only during off-peak hours.

We came here for lunch and the food was amazing. My wife and I split the sausage roll and steak skewer appetizers, the steak rigatoni, and some kind of pudding. The steak skewer was probably the best thing we ate while visiting England. The two young ladies that served us gave us probably the best service on our visit, but I did not tip them. We were really confused about the tipping situation as some places add it automatically, while others just declined the tip before I had a chance to add one, and some are supposed to be done in cash. These young ladies earned a nice tip and I did not give them one and I apologize for that. We will definitely come back on our next visit.

It's one of the oldest and best pubs in St Ives, cozy and always has great beer.

Called in as was close by. Firstly met by polite, friendly staff who welcomed us with our little dog. We were shown the choices of menu and options. My wife had the 3 course £20 lunch option. For starters it was tempura coated vegetables with a katsu dip that was superb. It said it was a small plate but it certainly wasn't! Fresh, hot, beautiful tempura batter covered broccoli stems, aubergine, peppers, courgettes etc. Her main course was corn fed chicken supreme with fresh veg and dauphinoise potatoes. Again, a good sized portion of hot, fresh food. Her choice of dessert was cheesecake but she was so full she brought it home. Again, rather than just a lump of cheesecake, it came with fresh fruit. Lovely! My choice was a Vietnamese chicken curry which again was piping hot and tasty. The young men behind the bar and who served were polite and friendly. Not a massive menu choice but reasonably priced. Well worth a visit!

Eleven of our family had Sunday lunch at the Oliver Cromwell yesterday to celebrate my daughter’s 50th birthday. We would like to thank the staff for making this such a great occasion- the food was superb as was the service and very reasonably priced too. The Oliver Cromwell is a gem of a pub, tucked away in St Ives in a lovely spot near the river. We will be back very soon😊

Absolutely lovely atmosphere, have really enjoyed my lunch after a bike ride from Cambridge. Such a beautiful and hearty roast, very nice staff and absolutely amazing biscoff cheesecake to die for! Not only highly recommended but if ever in the area, that's my favourite place to go to! Everything was so great 10/10 stars!
