Tate Gallery Restaurant - St Ives - Photo album

First time visiting Tate St Ives whilst on holiday in Cornwall. Our children loved the sketchbooks and free pencils - this certainly kept them busy whilst working through the gallery spaces. We loved the view from the top over to the beach. Compared to Tate Modern London (our nearest and usual plac
The Tate St Ives, a beautiful building of curves, glass, mirrors and terraces, overlooks Porthmeor Beach and the Atlantic Ocean. The gallery has a laid back vibe, full of shifting light and shadows, so perfect for a morning or afternoon immersion in art and the environment. It exhibits several work
Not really a fan of “Art” but the daughter is! Been to St Ives for many years and never been here, thought we’d give it it a go! Kids up to 18 are free which I think is really good, 2 x adults £21 which was great value given the best view of Porthmeor I’ve ever seen is from the Cafe! I am cultured (
A scenic and calm space to enjoy modern art on your day out in St Ives. It's a chill distraction from the busy tourist magnet that is the town, but also an enjoyable building to explore and absorb the various galleries of work by many different local and global artists. Booking is easy to do online
Very much based in abstract art, with some thought provoking pieces. Small, but good ticket prices for U18, and a nice view to ponder upon. I believe half price tickets just before closing too
Staff were friendly, helpful, and engaging. Great views from the cafe. NO PARKING, so it was quite a trek up and down very steep inclines. Gallery has ample disabled access. (But getting to the gallery safely may be an issue if you have mobility issues.)
I visited the gallery whilst visiting st Ives and was pleasantly surprised with the range of arwork on display including paintings by Mondrian, Miro, Bacon and Picasso. I particularly enjoyed the Casablanca Art School Exhibition. A delightfully interesting building in a beautiful setting on St Ives
Lovely art gallery in St Ives. Nice extras by Casablanca art school. Excellent graphics. Good cafe for lunch.
Great art exhibition with all styles of art and sculpture. Good cafe with lovely views over the bay and town. Usual gift shop too with many things to choose from. Worth a visit.
A wonderful gallery with a bright, airy feel. Just the right size to see and read about the exhibits without getting overwhelmed. Don’t miss the view from the cafeteria and gift shop upstairs.
A family visit , the Tate had several beautiful exhibits on, we saw work by artists we were familiar with and talented artists that were new to us. A lovely way to spend a half day
Amazing, last visited 18 years ago and so glad I was able to return with the family today. The Casablanca Art School exhibition was fascinating and I’ve discovered several artists I’d never heard of previously, and now want to learn more about!
Although this is one of the smaller Tate galleries, it does have many interesting art pieces. They also have 'seasons' of themed exhibitions of artwork from all over the world. Exhibits from more well known artists such as Miro, Picasso, Ben Nicholson and Barbara Hepworth are on display. A valuable
A magnificent building overlooking Porthmeor Beach. At the time of visiting (May 2023) a number of art works were being re hanged, therefore the admission prices were halved during this time. But we still enjoyed viewing the pieces that were available for us to view. We did not need to visit the Caf
A really interesting place a great day out except for the parking in St Ives🤔. Great value for locals if you get the locals pass. The Barbara Hepworth garden is stunning.
Love the museum, but you can also visit the cafe without paying admission and have stunning views over the beach.
