The food is great and the concept is great with a well stocked bar. The refit since the previous venue has led to a nice contemporary chilled venue.
I must also say a massive think to the lovely waitress that fitted us in for a meal on the way home from the beach for a table that was booked at 19pm.......we arrived at 17:45.
On top of the lovely chicken and beer the filthy fries went down well.
Quite simply, this was incredible and we struggled to finish our food! Amazing beer menu and some fantastic cocktails.
Halloumi fries were a showstopper and the best I’ve had anywhere! Nachos were a fantastic starter and ‘proper’ homemade nachos. Chicken was unsurprisingly incredible.
Our server, Chloe, was also super lovely.
I was only in st ives for 1 night and we ate here. It was hands down the best fried chicken ive ever had! Everything was delicious and they had the biggest selection of beers i've ever seen (100 apparently!).

I love fried chicken and I love beer, this place is made for me! The beer menu had a ridiculous range of beers, catering for all tastes. Our chicken was hot and tasty and the fries were crisp. The staff were all friendly too. I’ll be coming back!
Fab to have options for vegans, vegetarians and gluten free all on the menu. The pulled jackfruit burger I had was spectacular, and the range of drinks on offer was brilliant. Totally recommend eating here!

This place is awesome! We had some really tasty food, awesome craft beer that you struggle to find in most hipster bars (let alone Cornwall!) and friendly staff. Would live here if I could! :-D
Local lad, tried my luck tonight. Glad I did, Very busy, but very friendly waitress got a window seat for us. (Recommend booking) Beautiful place, beautiful food, great staff. Got a good thing here. Will be coming again guys!

Just having drinks at the moment but really love what's been done with this place. Great atmosphere. Nice staff. Took me about an hour to work my way through the crazily extensive drinks menu (reading, not drinking)! Can't wait to try the food on Tuesday!

We had a good time over there. The food and the atmosphere was great. My son loved their Mac and cheese which was nice.
Absolutely loved the fried mushroom(sorry can’t rmb the name). We also loved the Mac and Cheese too! Burger was good as well.
Tables and sofas could have been a bit more cleaner. But service was great, servers really kind and studied their restaurant menu well to be able to recommend dishes. Aside from food being served quite long, we got the right dishes except we maybe kind of worded it not clearly resulting in wrong dishes served which was corrected after our request after receiving the bill and asking once again. Sauces cost extra money which we were not aware of but haha we probably did not ask/read the menu clearly ourselves. Good atmosphere and nice decorations- lights and such.
One of the best wings I've ever had. I ordered the korean style ones. I highly recommend the fried pickles. I also ordered the OG burger and the kids had mac n cheese. They lived it soo much, I orders another portion.
We came here 4 years ago and loved it, so made sure to come back on our holiday this year! The staff were so friendly and helpful and there was a generally very chilled out atmosphere! A good range of different options, we particularly liked that the vegetarian range offered the same options as the meat menu, just without the meat!! It meant everyone was happy and all had great quality meals! A good choice of drinks too, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. We didn't feel rushed the time we were, felt very relaxed and that we could stay as long as we wanted to.
Only thing I would add is this is up on the first floor, with no lift so if you have trouble with stairs or have a buggy I wouldn't recommend it! Especially as the toilets are up on the third floor! But other than that I would really highly recommend Beer & Bird to anyone visiting St Ives!

What an absolute hidden gem this place is. We were in St Ives for the day and found this place for our lunch. Easily missed from the street. Worth a climb up the stairs to this intimate bar restaurant that will not disappointment. The service was great and the food was incredible. The atmosphere, decor and general vibe were just what we wanted. Our food is shown in the images. We left feeling full and completely satisfied. Worth the trip to St Ives to visit this place again.

Our visit this year was just as great. We arrived as a walk in and we’re able to sit straight away. The restaurant became very busy and it was clear they were understaffed but the staff were really doing their best and remained friendly and quick. We ordered some snack bits to start which was a good idea as the food did take longer than usual.
For our mains two of us chose burgers and the other in our party had the chicken tenders and some fries. The portions here are HUGE it would be great if they offered another simple burger as all of the dishes are very heavy even though they are tasty!
Chicken was really juicy and delicious- drinks were amazing. We will be back again next year!

Great place to eat. Didn't do a kids menu but little one was happy with chicken goujons and chips. Great atmosphere as we visited at a busy time around new year. Had a few steps to climb at the front but i think you could get in from the back too. Overall a great place .... oh and the wings were enormous!!! Must have been off an ostrich or a seagul :)
What a little hidden gem, found by accident, loved our time, rarely can I be accommodated gluten free and there was a whole menu catering for exactly my needs. Food and service outstanding. Exceptional cocktails and value if dining on a Sunday. Staff were so inviting from arriving to leaving, excellent standards of customer care, proprietors have a well managed establishment to cater for groups or couples. Lively atmosphere and great fun dining. Will defo return on our me little getaway to St Ives. Highly recommended. We also popped across the road to buy the newly launched rum as featured in our cocktails.
One of the few gems in St ives still. Not the cheapest in town; but it's good value for money considering how good the food and drinks are.
Food was absolutely amazing, hot, full of flavour and textures. Wings where meaty and flavourful. Cocktails made by the lady on the bar where delicious.

Honestly the best chicken wings (k-pop)! I was looking forward to them from the year before and they did not disappoint.
Beers good do with a bit of a change up. Seem to have been pretty much the same for a while now. A larger selection would be welcome also, given the name.
Staff were friendly. I'll go back purely for those wings!
