I called in for lunch and a pint today and can’t speak highly enough of the place. The landlord and landlady were polite, friendly and professional. I had a fantastic fish finger butty with chips. Food was good service was excellent and they had a good choice of local beers. We were given a tasting of one beer before deciding on our choice. Manager was great, but as with a lot of other places could do with extra staff.
I'm in here almost weekly to meet a friend for just a coffee, and Eddie is always a pleasure; we never feel pressured to give up our table despite the dinner rush coming in and it's really appreciated. Haven't eaten here in years so can't comment on the food 😝
A great meal, certainly worth a visit whether it's just for a drink or for a meal. Great choice on menu and also told about special of the day. Very friendly and welcoming.
Lovely people and excellent service, even when it got busy and as part of a wake. We had space to catch up and chat. Can't comment on the food as I didn't eat, but the entry is smooth to the left from the doors. Otherwise there's a small step to some chairs and tables and another small step to anoth

The food is very tasty (we had fish and chips) and the staff is very friendly. There are also some options for vegeterarians.
I was over on my holidays in jersey. I took my grandchildren in to the Halkett and we had a fabulous time with Peter Rabbit. The staff are very friendly & efficient. Food is fabulous. I would definitely recommend here for food.
Our regular Sunday lunch go to - it’s for a reason, the staff and food are great and a special shout out today to Eddie, you were average - only joking, he doesn’t take a compliment, you were amazing 🥰

Nice and friendly staff, from the welcoming door staff to the attentive bar staff. Always a great atmosphere and good music. Always a stop off point when I'm out
