My husband, daughter and I popped in for a quick after work bite with the family and ended up staying till late! The food was very very good, the staff were very accommodating ( i moved tables) The overall vibe of Bastille is chilled, very welcoming, unassuming yet professional. I would highly recommend this venue for a'date night' ( they have cosy booths) an evening with friends ( the music is perfect) and also suitable for all the family.. the menu is suitable for all appetites..great salads and delicious steak � Thank you...We WILL be returning!���
We had my birthday party on Saturday night and it was fabulous. Mark and the team did amazing, the food was fabulous too. Would recommend the Bastille to anyone for lunch, dinner and any event. Thank you all v much for making my party the best night ever xxx

Had a Quidsin deal yesterday, menu was limited for this, but food was amazing along with service. Would definitely book to go back for standard menu, been on other Quidsin deals and food standard and size nowhere as near as good as here!
Excellent service, I must have gluten free food and the chief came and spoke to me personally and was extremely helpful. Food was excellent. Only thing I wasn't keen on was the unexpected 10% service charge.
Fantastic place great food, great gin selection !!!!! Do not I repeat do not buy one specific meal rather go for loads of the light bites!!!! Culinary adventure right there, will definitely be heading back soon. P.s get brockmans please :)

I held my birthday lunch at the Bastille on Saturday with some of my good friends and we all collectively LOVED IT! The food was divine, so so tasty. The service was impeccable & to Mark & all your boys thank you so much for a sterling job. Would happily recommend the Bastille. We will be back to tackle the menu. Such good & varied choices.
What a great place for a bite!! Our first visit to Jersey on a day trip from France and we're looking for somewhere for lunch. Saw a variety of restaurants down near the harbour which seemed overpriced so headed back to the town as we had walked past La Bastille earlier in the morning. Had a really great lunch - good service. I had Tempura Prawns which were excellent served with greens and my husband had the whitebait - both main course sizes which were ample for lunch time.
All in all a great lunch and we would return on our next visit to Jersey. Thank you

A good meal out with great staff and a warm welcome, Duck Teriyaki was delicious, with a good amount of duck, a little bit more accompaniment would have been good. Gnocchi looked absolutely amazing. Desserts were a little expensive and a bit of a let down after such a strong main course.. Would definitely go back for a main...

We were not disappointed in any respect.
The food was excellent especially the scollops and the crab linguine is also excellent.
In fact the food and ambiance was so infectious we returned the following evening for a second chance to experience new flavours, again not disappointing in any way at all.
Good selection of wines available we chose a red, on our second visit it was at a perfect temperature and accompanied my wife's fillet steak and my belly pork.
The whole experience on both days, with great food and attentive staff in a fabulous location was one of the highlights of our break on the island.
So you may ask why only 4 stars instead of 5
Simply the fact I personally don't like the imposition of a 10% service charge on the bill.
I prefer to reward good service myself instead of having a charge to imposed on me.
BUT, don't let that put you off visiting.

My (now) husband and I wanted to host a dinner for our wedding guests on the evening before our wedding. We live in Manchester and were having a destination wedding in Jersey. The few times we had previously been in Jersey we had always had dinner at La Bastille, as we loved the food and ambience here, so it was a no-brainer that we would have our dinner here. I had never hosted a dinner for 41 people before, but Jewel made it so easy. From the moment I contacted her, she was very clear with what she needed from me and sent me the menu and pre-order form. Several guests commented on how good the menu looked. Also, there were quite a few people with food allergies and dietary requirements, but there were plenty of options for everyone. Jewel was very responsive to any queries I had and not to mention extremely friendly and lovely! She invited me to swing by the restaurant to meet her and discuss my requirements if I was in the area. A few days before the event, we were already in St Helier, so we stopped by La Bastille for a drink and asked for Jewel. It turned out that David, who was tending the bar at the time, was actually Jewel's husband, and they had taken over the restaurant a few months ago (Power couple!!!). Even though Jewel was having a day off, she popped down to the restaurant, gave me a big hug and reassured me that everything was ready for the dinner. On the evening of the dinner, everything went so smoothly - the tables were arranged perfectly and Jewel even threw in some balloons for decor, the food was absolutely gorgeous, and all the guests had an amazing time. Even though we had a couple of last minute cancellations due to flight delays and additions due to people failing to RSVP, Jewel and David were very understanding and accommodating. Jewel and David - thank you again for your hospitality. I am already looking forward to our next trip to Jersey and next meal at La Bastille!
On a flying visit to Jersey what a gem to find,being so close to France why not try a full on vibrant location as this

Perfect! This place has everything right!
My partner and I frequent this restaurant a couple of times a week for lunch.
The staff are just utterly brilliant, they are so genuine and lovely, they quickly remembered my partner and It's drink order, and now food! I think we're known as the Veltins and caesar salad couple!
(Only little niggle is the Veltins being bottled, not draught.)
Food is delicious every time without exception and the outside area is perfect for people watching!
The food was beautiful and the staff where very attentive. I left my phone when we left and the waitress ran after us to give my phone back which was much appreciated.
First time for me, a couple of ciders and the crab linguine, which was excellent. Great staff. See you next Wednesday, same again please.
Came to La Bastille for lunch today. Really good food and we were especially impressed by the staffs fun and engaging attitude towards our toddler even if he wasn’t on best form as he’d just woken up.!
