4 Ales on. Very quiet. Haven't been in for 3 years so must of been refurbished since my last visit as I hardly recognise the place. Very reasonable priced beer
Great locals pub with lots of real ales to pick from . Very busy during my visit apparently karaoke night really rings them in . One of the liveliest pubs around St Helens
Great place. Service very good. Drinks a very reasonable price. Highly recommended
Great local pub, lots of atmosphere, owner puts lots of effort into decorating for the occasions
Where has this pub been hiding over the years? Excellent choice of real ales and comfort with continuing improvements. Turks and Cricketers eat your heart out.
The last time I went here, 2015, I walked in and walked straight out. Now the pub is a revelation. Great real ale choice, great craft ale if you like that sort of thing. Lovely decor and nice lighting. Great outdoor area. Well worth a visit.
Lovely pub, very clean and welcoming. Lots of beers on offer, but can't praise them as I had a diet coke (driving). Not far from town centre so will definitely wander back there when the missus us driving.
Lovely outdoor space. Staff were great.
I call at the Talbot when I'm in need of a decent pint (Quite often really ). Always a good choice of cask ales and tonight my favourite. Titanic plum Porter. Discount for camra members as well. A good crowd. Good and efficient staff. Can't ask for anything more
Proper pub on the outskirts of town. Good beer selection and CAMRA discount.
Great . Two different sides of the bar both with a different feel no plastic cheep thrills at all. There is a great choice of cask ales the choice of cider and larger seemed to be better then most as Well and the choice of bottles especially the variaty of German beers was a welcome sight. Looking f
They have made it a great place to have a drink outside in the rear garden, some parts covered and some open, lots of nice young staff who go out of there way to assist in looking after you suppling drinks and real ale (thats mine being a Camra member) and all at a good price all at your table, cov
Good real ale pub with a good selection of real ales and ciders. Also has a good gin selection as well as other spirits. Has a quiz night on a Wednesday with other entertainment through the week and at weekend.
The pint was nice. The young girl serving was really pleasant and made you feel so welcome
Excellent two room former Boddington's house (note the lamp at the front), now in the hands of local brewer, George Wright. Apart from their own beers, they also sell five or six cask from other brewers. All sold at incredibly low prices. Recommended.
A great pub with a good, welcoming atmosphere. This place holds great memories for me. Would highly recommend. A well earned 5 stars
Great selection of beers, pool table, Duke box, darts.. can't ask for much more in a pub. Beer gardens really nice as well and you always feel welcome in there
