Function room - Wicket -"Wake" Held October 23
The event went very well, and we had much feedback from guests about the quality of food and the helpfulness of the staff on the day.
From my own part of you as the organizer: I was able to get a firm date very quickly confirmed and a prompt response to my request for options for food on the day, the three options were distinct and well expressed and I was able to pick something that ultimately was very well received by everybody.
Staff who were serving the buffet were also sensitive to the nature of the event and very helpful for any requests that came their way
.
For anybody else who is interested in putting on a similar event: the places easy to find, the Venue itself is comfortable and well appointed, plenty car parking close to the entrance , the food is well made , decent quality , and well served,
and I would be happy to recommend due to anybody else who is interested in a similar event
What a great dish! Probably the best lasagna that I had in the UK. Proper fresh homemade. Compliments to the chef!
Such a lovely place good beer, massive outdoor area and good food. If you want to catch the sun while drinking this is a great place. Lots of room for kids to play if you have kids. The only slight negative is when they are very busy you can be waiting a while at the bar.
From a former employee, the best in St Helens without a doubt. Out of the town mainly and quality food and drink.
And the staff are the best. They are very happy to help in any way, too.
Love you lots!
Lovely food and staff really friendly and attentive.
Excellent starter, Sunday roast and really tasty dessert. Friendly and welcoming staff too
We were at a funeral the other day. My friend who had organised the wake needed some IT assistance with photos and music. We were abley assisted by a lovely young man called Ryan who was kind, polite and very courteous to us all. He was able to help. The place was clean, the staff was helpful and friendly and the food was good. Plenty of parking all made the experience much more bearable.
Visited here after a relative's funeral service. Food was very good and the bar service was speedy and friendly.
Lovely venue...friendly staff and very clean. Service started off a little slow (30 minutes wait for first drinks order) but got better as the night went on...must note they were very busy due to England football match being on, so may not be a true reflection of usual service...possibly much quicker on am average night.
Called for a coffee and a bacon on toast while I was on a morning walk.Served by a lovely young lady and the food was nice too.
Lovely surroundings(overlooking the cricket pitch),and reasonably-priced too.
Definitely worth a re-visit.ππππ

Never fails to impress. Highly recommended.
Valentine's Night ...... first time dinning here and it's blown our bloody socks off . We can't even compare the quality of the food to anywhere else we've been too, starters, mains and deserts outstanding. The chef has a amazing imagination and by god it works very well. The best food from start to finish we've had in uk for a long time. You would happily pay double elsewhere. Totally outstanding and see you soon.. well done to all...
Cheers Mark Williams
Went here for Sunday lunch recently with family, staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you, food was absolutely lovely and good value. Portions were a good size, enough to satisfy a 19 year old with a good appetite! Will definitely be visiting here again!
