Almost didn’t find as council wouldn’t let them put their sign up as it’s a listed building. The owner luckily for us was outside. Very welcoming and the place is like going into a friends front room. A few books and crannies and a very eclectic decor. Warm and inviting and the best vegan cakes I have found by a country mile! I had a potato based spicy shepherds pie maybe a teeny bit more seasoning🙏🏼 As it was our wedding anniversary we where very kindly given an extra slice of cake as we couldn’t make our minds up, so delicious we will most definitely go back in our next day off as it’s a shame they aren’t open longer . On a side note they sell records(yes real vinyl ) and other bits and bobs. All in all a lovely homely experience thanks we will be back !

A warm welcome awaits followed by the most delicious food. Homemade pie, goulash, hotpot on the winter menu are firm favourites. In the summer I adore the buddha bowl. Delicious range of sandwiches and small plates. Open now and again gorgeous a Sunday Roast (bookings only) so deliciously and generously portioned- fantastic value. Can also highly recommend the cakes and my particular favourites are the bakewell, custard slice and carrot cake. Always fantastic friendly service ❤️

Provided my vegan wedding buffet, the most amazing company to work with, photo of the food doesn't do it justice. Phoenix Plant Based Eatery went above and beyond for us and we cannot thank them enough, our guests were raving about the 'duck' rolls especially. They really raised the bar on our whole event, highly recommend booking them to cater for any event!
Absolutely lovely full English breakfast here. I'm not vegan in the slightest, my brother is. Enjoyed our little catch up here with good food & drink and very friendly service .
Special thing about this place is it's unique..... It's quirky . It's original . There is also a shop upstairs that will send your mind back to the 80's all the way to 30's and 40's.
It's like an experience.. never mind just a place to fill your face.

Holy cow substitute, Prescot finally has a vegan restaurant! Went in for the Christmas dinner and was blown away by how good a roast it was - definitely the best in the area for veggies and vegans. But the desserts, dear god, the desserts. I will be back for afternoon tea ASAP.

What an absolute gem this place is. Phoenix is the one and only 100% vegan restaurant in St Helens and it’s absolutely amazing to know I’ve got somewhere I can safely eat when I’m in the area. I prefer to support 100% vegan businesses where I can and it’s so lovely to know that Ann-Marie is so passionate about the vegan lifestyle and helping people make the change with the fantastic array of food that’s on offer. I popped in during lunch time and went for the scrambled tofu on toast and WOW! It was the nicest tofu I’ve ever had - period! I also took away some cakes and they were too so tasty and delicious. I’d highly recommend giving this place a visit and supporting a business that is committed to helping not on the animals but the people and the planet too. The portion sizes are brilliant and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Thanks so much guys! 5*****
A fabulous gem that you wouldn't know existed unless you researched it or heard of by word of mouth. The ambiance is really great, as is the music (mainly 80s) from the huge record selection which forms a prominent feature. Then there is the food, which is absolutely fabulous. A small menu but that means everything is fresh & delicious. All served up by your hosts Anthony & Anne Marie who always provide a great welcome. Well worth a visit.
Lovely cosy setting, all vegan options for typical meat style meals. I had the coronation ' chicken ' wrap, with side salad. So good, outstanding value for money !
Excellent place. The food is awesome. The portions are very generous, the atmosphere is brilliant, the staff are lovely. If you like cake this place is a particular winner. I highly recommend this place. 5 stars.
Great time out with my pre school daughter. Wonderful relaxed friendly atmosphere, good music, lovely staff. Food is simple and served quickly with cheap prices. Cake was delicious. I had such a nice time I'll be back so I can relax! Nice and cool escape from the heat today. This is a great community asset!
