Wonderful restaurant selling Chinese food. The room is well set out and spacious. The service was excellent and everyone so friendly especially Charlie who spent some time chatting with us. The food was really delicious. It’s worth going to St Helens to eat here. Well done Mr Chan.

Me and my boyfriend usually get a takeaway from Mr Chans which we could never fault! Food is always piping hot and full of flavour however we decided to sit in the restaurant. We never booked a table however the lovely waitress sat us down on a table for two and took our drinks. The service was incredible and staff was so lovely! I was provided with a gluten free menu which was a booklet full of different gluten free dishes, sides and dim sums. We received our starters with hardly a wait and food was incredible! The lovely lady asked if we was ready for our main course which arrived only a few minutes after, we had no problems clearing our plates :)
I cannot recommend a more lovely staffed restaurant with incredible food more than Mr Chans. Not only that but Mr Chan himself is so genuine and welcoming, a person who takes pride in his restaurant and ensuring his customers are happy. We will definitely be back! Thank you 😊

We we're over from Dublin to celebrate my sister and brother in law 60th wedding anniversary. They are regulars there. On the night there was 26 adults and 4 little ones. The servers were efficient, polite and friendly. The menu had an excellent variety of dishes and the price point is very fair. Overall it was a fantastic night, our food was served on hot plates and everything was delicious. Look forward to going there again when we're next in St.Helens.

Looking for a nice restaurant during a solo business trip I stumbled upon this place, and I was very happy I did :-) Best Chinese I had in a very long time, the spices on the salt and pepper tofu were just incredible. The owner noticed I was sitting alone (with a book) and came to have a nice chat with me. I can definitely recommend this place, for the food as well as for the friendly service.

We bloody love it here. Best Chinese restaurant in all of Merseyside. Loads of options for vegetarians. Veggie spring rolls and the salt and pepper tofu is amazing (that’s what’s in the pictures). Plenty for meat lovers too incredible chicken stir fry dishes. You get the 5 star customer service here too the staff are so friendly and helpful. It’s really cheap as well. I love it that much anyone who comes to visit this is where we take them and everyone has loved it.

Our first time eating here, but we really enjoyed it. The vegetarian food we chose was delicious, subtlety flavoured with various spices - a real treat. Charlie took time out to answer our questions and chat, which we appreciated.

Food was really lovely and tasty. Only thing for me and its not just this restaurant is the cost of 4 small glasses of coke poured from a 2 litre supermarket bottle, Which cost £11. That is some mark up on cost.

We were there when Mr Chan's opened 30 years ago and can honestly say we have never had a poor meal. The menu is extensive and the food excellent! Charlie looks after all his customers and makes everyone feel special.The service is quick and the dishes are beautifully presented and delicious.He has well trained staff who work well together. He and his wife Loi run their restaurant with precision, care and a huge welcome for all their customers who return on a regular basis.

We had a lovely evening here, service was very efficient although young and learning under very experienced management. Arrived on a Saturday without booking and was shown to a table straight away. Food was quickly served and was good value for money. Mr Chan was a great host moving around the tables conversing with the customers, very friendly. Can recommend a visit.

We havd been going to Mr Chans for many years now. We went as a family in December last year for my mum's birthday and it was fabulous. Last night was the celebration of my Dad's 82nd birthday. The food was absolutely delicious and we had such a variety between the 7 of us. The young staff are marvelous and a credit to the owners. Missed Mr and Mrs Chan last night but we will be back soon. Thank you again for an excellent evening.
