First time visiting today since it changed! And I am impressed. There sadly was a issue with one meal however it was rectified straight away and the customer service we received was outstanding..The food was amazing. Tasted soo good... I personally want to say thank you to Lottie, who was our waitress. I have a child who has a allergy to dairy and we have struggles since his diagnosis to have dessert out, and we managed to find a dessert on the menu - however it was an adults one.. lottie kindly offered to sort out the dessert today and no payment from Us for it.. although we did say it wasn't needed and we are happy to pay, Lottie was adamant we didn't need to.. we were very happy with this gesture, my son was very happy and enjoyed his dessert..! Thank you :)
It’s the first time we’ve tried it since the ‘make over’ we weren’t disappointed either. Fast, friendly service and the food was lovely. Lunch was made even better when they knocked off the price on my Nan’s meal as it was her 90th birthday! Well done team! �

I dined with my two children (3+8). Robbie was absolutely brilliant - he gave a lot of time to help me look through the allergy menu and make sure the kids were happy with the choices, and checked in a number of times during our meal.
Kids food was great. And some great vegan options! (Both have a dairy allergy). A yummy vegan dip with starter, and vegan ice cream that was genuinely better than most dairy options. Hurrah!

I Ate there at short notice. It was fully booked, they were able to sort a table as I was alone, and I wasn't looking to stay long. The staff were all very friendly and the manager I believe "Olivia" couldn't have been nicer .. thanks to all.
Can't praise the staff highly enough.
Booked a party of 20, including 9 children under 8 for their meal deals at 5pm today - Thursday 3rd August and they were so flexible and accommodating of us all...with some arriving half an hour later, and it didn't matter at all...Great selection of food at such reasonable prices and lovely for the kids having safe access to the playground. All in all a wonderful family get together.
Lovely staff, lovely atmosphere and food was good value for the money. Steak cooked as requested (medium rare) and generously sized deserts.
I've just had surgery on my foot, haven't been out for nearly 2 weeks. I would like to thank the staff head waiter for how accomadating and helpful they were. We Certainly will be returning. Meal also very nice.
Food was tasty! Staff was amazing! A little bit of music would of made it 10 out if 10. But still a really nice place to go for a dinner!
We went for the Festive menu on Sunday Lunchtime. It was excellent the food, service and the staff were friendly and professional. We will definitely be going again.

Standard pub grub but don't let that fool you! Portion sizes are great and food is always delicious and hot. Was served last by Ellie J and she was perfect in every way except she was very quiet....give her a raise, she deserves it. All in all, if you're in the very expensive part of the country that is Cornwall, the penhale round is the perfect place to go that won't break the bank
We arrived here ravenous after long day hiking the cornish coast line in the sun. Service was swift and friendly and the food did not disappoint. I had the tomato and basil soup which was delicious followed by the 8 ounce rump steak which was thick cut and delicious. Nice big portions filled our very hungry bellies and we left very happy :) Great place I recommend trying.
