We popped in for tea as it was close to our hotel. It is a lovely little place. Very cosy and friendly. Food was great and the service was excellent. Most expensive thing was the steak from the specials at £25 but it was delicious and the portion was worth the price.
One of the best nights we had down there, food was sublime, all the staff were amazing, chef was outstanding... overall a 11/10 AAA+++

Just had a lovely meal. Landlady and her staff were excellent. Good food, family friendly and good value. Clean toilets.
Absolutely exquisite...so much food! Excellent service, a fantastic historical venue with a great ambience. Our dog was very welcome & much admired. We will endeavour one more meal in this short trip.
Wow, wow, wow! The most incredible Sunday roast I've had in a long time. Very generous portions, and all incredibly tasty. As if the plate wasn't enough, had sides of potato dauphinoise and cheesy broccoli and cauliflower. Dog friendly pub, even came over and gave him a treat. Staff incredibly frien
Exceptional local pub. It’s difficult to try and convey just how good this place is. If you like a proper local pub, with excellent food and a special level of friendliness, then this is the place for you! The lobster is to die for! Just go and visit, you will not be disappointed.
First time back to this little gem of a pub in 25 years. Wonderful food, diverse menue and specials most nights.
Welcomed and looked after by the new landlords who want you to enjoy your experience with them.

We were well received by the manager and the staff at the bar, who were friendly and professional.
Food was great and in large quantity. We were overall satisfied with the quality of the food and with the service.

A real old fashioned pub. It looks tiny at the front but goes back and back! Wonderful food, great atmosphere friendly staff. What's not to like?!
Food was delicious, hot and plentiful. Children's meals the same. Extremely, good value for money. We will definatley be going back. Thankyou very much, to such lovely staff. To those reading this review, make sure you're hungry as you will not be disappointed, in portions. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
