We arrived early at Nepalese Gurkha Restaurant and were warmly welcomed by the staff. They were more than accommodating, even though we were early. The food was excellent, and we were not rushed at all. We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Nepalese dining experience.

OK Wow, if you like Indian food and have not tried Nepalese you should try it here! I had a Nepalese Gurka Meat Platter, then a Chitwan Bazaar with a Mushroom Bhaji & Keema Naan, Amazing, Go here as the food and service are excellent!

This place is a hidden gem in the middle of St Austell. If you like Asian cuisine you must visit. It's based in an old snooker Hall so there is loads of space. We were in mid week so it was a bit quiet. The only down side is that the decor is really tired and in need of lack of paint. But do not let that detract from the excellent, friendly service and the amazing food. I had the tandoori mixed grill. Which had a fab Nepalese twist on what I have had in the past. Highly reccomended.

Great food and a really friendly atmosphere. We have been wanting to go there for a while and we are not disappointed. This is now our new favourite take out and restaurant. Well done and thank you.

Whilst it could do with a makeover, a restaurant is al about the food. And the food here is excellent. Meats are cooked through, tender and juicy. The spice in the sauce is tasteful and as hot as the dish ordered is required. Would definitely recommend this place, and would certainly come back when again I'm this neck of the woods

We were passing through St Austell and were looking for a great Indian restaurant that served great vegetarian and vegan food. We thought we would give the Nepalese Gurkha Restaurant a try. It is not the most beautiful stairway up into a glamorous restaurant, but a simple decor and comfortable clean interior welcomes you. Our waiter was very professional and accommodating. As the food is made fresh, they were able to adjust dishes to suit the mildness for our children, while making other dishes superspicy for us adults. The food was authentic and delicious! Probably the best indian food we have had in a very long time - very very very good! And we were pleasantly surprised by the bill as it was alot lower than we expected, for such a good amount of really great food! We will be back. They were very busy with take-aways, so they must be established in the area.

From our perspective, nothing to complain about! Staff were very friendly and attentive. Restaurant area and tables are clean and tidy. Tables spaced out nicely, allowing good social distancing. Great choice of food and selection of drinks. Food was lovely, not too oily and it was as described in the menu. We like spice and heat and weren't disappointed! A warning to those that don't like heat, if it says hot, it means hot! With the exception of the lobby/entrance area, it's a comfortable place to eat out. Decor wasn't to our taste but I'm sure they'd say the same about our house! Don't judge a book by its cover, don't judge this place that way either. Let the staff and the food they serve, do the talking. We'll go back for more!
