Went here last week with my other half and my parents. Ahead of our visit I contacted them via Facebook messenger to ask if they did cod in breadcrumbs. They responded quickly, even though it was outside of their opening hours. Although it’s not on their menu they were happy to oblige! I called and booked us a table. We were there for 6pm, parking was limited so bear this in mind. There are only enough tables to seat about 20 so I would recommend booking ahead. Lovely and clean and the staff were very attentive. The food was very reasonably priced, I think it was £7.95 for the dine in special which for me was cod and chips, bread and butter, mushy peas and a cuppa! The fish was lovely and white and the batter was nice and crunchy, hardly any grease. The chips were also lovely. I did find the mushy peas a little bland but everyone else enjoyed theirs. Will definitely be back, we live in Indian Queens, but this will now be our local 😊

Wow. Fish and chips tend to be a bit of a treat these days and these were certainly that! Very friendly staff - I've promised to go back again and tell them if their fish and chips were any good! - friendly, chatty customers and a piece of cod that will be hard to better. Highly recommended.

I was recomended to try The Wagon Wheel by a friend from Mevagissey to try out this place after I was complaining about a local place that I used and always threw away the white looking chips....so I pulled in and was I pleased to see such a clean and friendly atmosphere....I had sausage and chips takeaway and got home and I can honestly say that the chips were golden and tasted scrummy....I shall be using The Wagon Wheel as my ''local'' from now ... quick service and helpfull staff......

These were great fish and chips cooked to perfection. My one reservation was the rather small portion of cod I got served. Maybe I was unlucky. The fish was cooked nicely without skin or bones. The medium chips was a generous portion.

Whilst in St Austell and Gluten intolerance is normally the reason for not eating Fish and Chips... We found a gold mine! Food cooked to order FRESH!! Staff were very efficient and the food was amazing. Will be sure to head back when in the area

After an amazing day out, driving here was the best choice we could make!!! Dinner was awesome ! Really great service with a smile, so helpful and patient. The food was everything we hoped for and more! Memories of childhood with pea fritters and fish that melted in your mouth, home made onion rings and everything cooked to perfection and topped with homemade tartare sauce. Thank you for a wonderful dinner !!!

Placed the order online then rang up to confirm wasn't a dodgy order as our home address is Derby, but holidaying in Carlyon Bay. Great customer service and the gluten free fish and chips are superb 10 out of 10. Best we've ever had.

Honestly the best Fish and Chips around St Austell! The fish is always cooked fresh and the chips are both crispy and fluffy. The staff are very friendly and venue easily accessible.

We are on our honeymoon in Cornwall and have been trying to find a good chippy. We tried here and it is the best chippy we’ve been to in a long time! The food is all cooked fresh to order and is lovely! The staff are very friendly too, I would definitely recommend coming here!
