Wow, what a beautiful place. The restaurant and rooms are amazing.
Room was very bright, large and comfortable. The bed and facilities were spot on. Even a dog bed, bowl and treats for our well travelled dog. Everything you could need was in the room. Extremely well thought out.
We only ate breakfast in the restaurant. Both of us having a full English breakfast. We were not disappointed. Good value for money.
The young lad that booked us in was very professional although they were extremely busy. He took the time to show us to our room and was even there in the morning to serve breakfast.
Very pleased with our time there. We will definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Lovely hotel and restaurant. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Staff were all extremely friendly and welcoming.
The food served at both dinner and breakfast was delicious and had good options for vegetarians.
The Kingswood also gave us a well located base to explore the surrounding area.
A wonderful restaurant with rooms, located on the main road but very quiet. It obviously has a good reputation as it was pretty busy on a Wednesday night mid-September. So do book!
The room was well appointed and incredibly clean and comfortable. Both dinner and breakfast were fabulous. Highly recommend!
What an amazing two night stay we've just had! Nothing was too much trouble for anyone, everyone so friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to Amanda, Laura, Jacob and Millie, you're all a credit to the team, you've made our anniversary stay one to remember. Everywhere so very clean and tidy. Rooms spacious and so quiet. We’ve been multiple times but We came in the other night and cannot fault them at all , all the staff are so lovely & helpful ( even when we caused a bit of a faff! ) amazing experience as always.
Plus the guy the served us ( Ryan maybe? I’m bad with names but he had a semi Colon tattoo ) was the nicest person ever , such a sweet soul so deserved a mention.

Lovely meal with tasty food! Waiters are so polite and friendly. The place has a lovely atmosphere, nice and chilled and quiet. Food was amazingly tasty. It is a little expensive but the portion sizes are very generous! Will definitely be returning.
Love this restaurant. They are so welcoming and friendly. They have also fallen in love with Rex, our German Shepherd, who is a big dog, but they always find space for him.
Food is excellent whether you are going for a Sunday roast dinner or something a little bit more special.

We had a fabulous 4 night stay at this modern hotel and restaurant. Rooms were a very good size, clean and comfortable.
We ate in the restaurant every evening. The food was outstanding. All the staff were lovely and very helpful. Although the restaurant was busy, nothing was too much trouble.
Fantastic rooms - beautifully finished off with quality workmanship.
Food was very good - service was good but a little slow.
Would definitely recommend this place for a break .
The Kingswood was perfectly located just outside town with ample parking. The rooms are exceptional. Quiet, beautifully designed, modern, spotlessly clean and spacious. There is a bar and restaurant if desired. I was travelling on business. I highly recommend staying here.

We stayed for three nights as a starting point for our brief exploration of part of Cornwall and for this, the Kingswood is ideally situated. We chose well. The rooms (new in Nov 2022) were immaculate; large and well appointed – the fixtures and fittings were good quality and well considered. The room was quite and inviting and we slept well. The food was suburb. We relished every meal we had, in fact, we planned to eat out at a different location each evening but ended up eating there every night – testament to the quality of the small menu. All this would be naught if not for the staff and they were faultless – more than happy to stop and chat (if you wanted to), always attentive and really tried to make your stay memorable. The only consideration is that it is not within walking distance of ‘entertainment’, there is limited outside space to sit and not much in the way of views to enjoy. This didn’t impact on our stay as we’d been out all day exploring and really only wanted somewhere to have a quiet drink and delicious food, the perfect end to each day. Oh, and make sure you have room the substantial breakfast – we hardly wanted to eat anything for the rest of the day! We enjoyed it so much, we are planning to return at the end of the year. I suspect that this will be our go-to location when exploring Cornwall.

Well, what a truly wonderful stay we had.
My daughter booked a night here as a birthday treat for me, along with tickets to Eden and The PSB gig.
We had a lovely welcome at reception, the services were explained and we were shown to our room. The room was fantastic - real class, exceptionally high standards with a really comfortable bed and luxurious bed linen.
The bathroom was wonderful with a great shower. We were so thrilled to have aircon, which was very quiet yet highly effective. The room itself seemed to be soundproof as we had a totally undisturbed night.
We enjoyed a meal that evening in the Kingswood restaurant and were looked after by the lovely Lily, she was a delight.
The food was phenomenal, we enjoyed every bit (and what my daughter couldn't manage was kindly wrapped up for her).
Breakfast was so delicious, and the lovely waiter and chef were both immensely kind and accommodating. We were late to arrive (huge apologies again) having slept so well and not woken! Despite this, this very sweet gentleman and a very patient chef still provided a cooked breakfast for us, along with coffee and juice - we were so grateful for this. The breakfast was wonderful and it set us up for the day ahead.
This is honestly the nicest hotel I've stayed in and I've stayed in some very nice ones. The restaurant was truly fantastic and the food delicious.
We will return - thank you for a very enjoyable stay!
What an excellent hotel and restaurant this is. We stayed with our dogs for one night prior to our holiday in Carbis Bay and it was extremely comfortable with lovely rooms and excellent food in the restaurant. We can highly recommend and will be visiting again soon.

Perfect place to stay and dine! Amazing service and delicious food - thanks to all the staff who have made our stay relaxing, comfortable and well fed (we arrive at the hotel very late and tired from our journey because of a road accident and the kitchen was just about to close, but the staff were very accommodating and happy to cook us hot food!!)

A lovely boutique hotel. Staff redefine the meaning of hospitality - polite, friendly and always happy to help. They are all a credit to the hotel and restaurant. If your planning to stay a couple of nights in a central-ish area of Cornwall I can't think of a better place to stay!
The best hotel so far. Everything is new! The food is amazing. My wife and my dog love it so much. Will come back again.
This hotel is great for anyone looking for somewhere modern and clean. It’s also great for those with a car and those who are away on a work trip.
The staff are lovely and made us feel welcome. We felt comfortable and well slept after our nights stay.
There’s not much to do outside of the hotel / bar & restaurant as it is situated on a country road, so having a car is a must have here to get to and from the hotel.
If any members of staff are reading, I would be very careful of something that I saw whilst I was eating breakfast. Someone passed their dog food from their fork, and whilst that may be something that they do in their household, I was very uncomfortable whilst eating my breakfast. This is no fault of the hotel, hence the 5 stars, but I would keep an eye on those bringing their dogs to breakfast.
Thank you for having us and we will choose this hotel again if we’re ever in the area.
