Not just a great cafe and nice staff - they even make well-behaved dogs welcome!
On a visit to St Andrews, my husband and I stopped in for a cup of coffee. It was clean and tidy and you weren't paying through the nose for your coffees. It was reasonably busy and there was a good choice of cakes. I would recommend going here to get your coffee rather than one of the normal chain

Fantastic staff, dog friendly and delicious food at a very good price. Soup of the day was a delicious potato and leek served with a massive slice of seeded brown bloomer and butter for £3, plus the coffee was very nice. We would definitely recommend the old union coffee shop.
Really great space & decent wifi — otherwise ordinary tea-bag tea, cakes, & pop music would ordinarily be 3*. They do have soy milk.

SUPER quaint, cozy cafe with great coffee. I saw some reviews saying the staff is rude but I had a lovely experience here and the barista was very kind.
Delicious little haven in the busy streets of St Andrews that has been engulfed by the Open. Great Lentil Soup and crispy bacon rolls

Very pleasant place with great atmosphere, very nice coffee with great prices. My only complaint is that it is a bit squished but I don't have any other complaints, great coffee shop!
Beautiful building and a good place for a coffee- offers sugar free syrup. Historic photographs displayed add a bit of atmosphere.

Fab coffee and tea and support competitive prices. Avoid the big brands chains and sorry the local university Union instead! 😁
