This is definitely my favourite spot in St Andrews! The staff are incredibly attentive and friendly! The service is prompt, the food is delicious, and the drinks menu is huge! I love this place, definitely recommended by me!! :)
We were here on August 13 in the evening. The food was excellent and steaming hot. The only complaint was the loud Anericans (presumably professors at St. Andrews University based on the conversation) and the long wait for the food. We had fish and chips and haggis, neeps and tatties. The seating is set up oddly in the main dining area. We were in a tight nook. But if you could remove the loud talkers, it would have been a perfect evening. We have come here before and will be back again.
I had really excellent lunch today. Would recommend great pizza and pasta dish.
Breakfast was excellent. Service and staff friendly. The place is amazingly decorated. Cannot fault. Thank you.

Had a lovely birthday dinner on what was a very busy night in St. Andrews. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious.
Love the Saint! Was there in May 2023 and just getting to putting this out there! Went with our group of Golfer's wives. I had the "Sunday Roast" and it was extraordinarily delicious! The meat was tender, the potato and Yorkshire pudding amazing! Our service was warm and friendly and the atmosphere was very quiet and posh!
A good selection of food and drink. Good locations with a lovely beer garden. It's dog friendly, and the family enjoyed it.
The service is slow, and you are forgotten about if you sit outside. Was very disappointed with having to keep going into the bar to remind the staff we needed our food, or extra cutlery, since 2 people were forgotten about. Had to ask for the pudding that was already paid for 3 times and waited more than 30 minutes after we finished the mains.
Service needs to be looked at and improved.
It's disappointing that a place this nice doesn't have a great service.
Food and Service were fabulous. Couldn't believe our server remembered our starter and mains and there were 4 adults eating. We decided whilst on mains that we shouldn't have had starters. Would recommend and will return. Remember to book a table. Glad we did.
Excellent location with charming rooms above a lovely pub. Our room was spacious and clean and well adorned with amenities. Clean, long soaker tub and Nespresso coffee machine. When we asked for more pods the manager went above and beyond and went out to buy us our own box. Highly recommend these rooms.

She even managed to bag us the recipe for the iron bru and chilli jam!

Fantastic throughout! We had an absolutely brilliant stay at the Saint - the rooms are cosy & comfortable (with lots of little goodies). Dinner and breakfast were also top notch - all in all, a 10 out of 10 venue!
Service terrible, most people in the beer garden had to ask several times, when their drinks would arrive. When our bottle of wine and glasses arrived, one of the glasses was dirty.
We did not let it ruin a great day and speaking to great people in the beer garden.
We stayed here for a night and it was such a comfy and quiet stay after a long walk along Fife. We will certainly stay here again! We did not have the breakfast due to manpower shortage at the restaurant and we were refunded the value of the breakfast.
Great location. Excellent staff, quality food, fantastic bar service. Spacious comfortable well presented rooms. We will be back.

Best food in St Andrews.
My wife and I stayed in The Saint for one night and had an evening meal and breakfast. We were welcomed into the hotel and taken to our room which was perfect. We went down for our evening meal and were not disappointed, the food was amazing, we both had 3 courses and everything was incredible. We will definitely be back again. The staff are extremely friendly and very welcoming, the atmosphere in the restaurant was perfect.

Had lunch the staff were great and the food was good. There is a wheelchair lift to an upper dining room and access to the beer garden.
Held an event at the Saint last night and couldn't have been better! Staff were super attentive and friendly. Big shoutout to James and Fergus behind the bar!!
