I had the healthy breakfast (poached eggs, smoked salmon, spinach, tomatoes & rocjet; my husband had the smoked salmon & scramble egg on sourdough toast. Absolutely delicious. Wish had some room for the lovely cakes. Would definitely go again 👍

Having travelled overnight to visit my son who started uni this year he brought me to this wonderful establishment...snug, good food - more quality than quantity - attentive staff and a great way to catch up with my son. Recommended.

This place is delightful. Best Flat White in St Andrews! Can I particularly say that I went in today at about 5.30 to pick one up en route to a meeting and it was absolutely exquisite - a big thank-you to whoever made it!

Came here for a quick breakfast before golfing. Wanted an english breakfast and this place hit the spot. Simple but good quality ingredients. Staff was very friendly and accommodated our large group of 6. Place is small so call ahead to check for seating.

Had a visit to St Andrews for the day, we needed a dog friendly lunch spot. We came across the cottage kitchen and we are so glad we did! The food was delicious, the gingerbread latte was amazing and my partner loved the homemade biscoff cake. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming! We sat outside as inside was really busy, I’d suggest booking especially during the weekend.

The best cafe in St Andrews in my opinion! Very busy wee place, especially on weekends, so make sure to book in advance! Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed a delicious scone with jam and cream (of the best I've had) and a lovely cup of tea. A really good selection of cakes on display and an extensive menu. My friend ordered the sausage roll and it was huge, so come with an appetite. Portion sizes are great! My go to in St Andrews now 👌🏻

Cute little cafe in one of the lanes. I had the fruit scones with cream and jam! Also tried their hot chocolate! It was hearty! My friends tried the coffee and a cake. They liked it as well. The place is generally packed and people have their gatherings in the outdoor seating even in the middle of the week. We were lucky to get a table!

Sweet wee kitchen with indoor and outdoor seating. Was fairly busy when we arrived, approx 12 midday, so only outdoor seating available, luckily it was a lovely day ☀️ Plenty of cold and hot drink available, staff are friendly and helpful. Wait time is short. Prices are OK! Only 1 toilet available in this cafe. Facilities are kept clean and tidy. Overall a lovely stop during our visit to St Andrews, and would recommend it to others!

This is an absolute gem of a place in St Andrews! We were given a table outside which is a lovely courtyard, and dog-friendly is a bonus! We had our two children so they both ordered macaroni cheese, and we ordered the Shrimp Po’Boy and Steak Philly sandwiches which were both amazing - the prawns were juicy and the pickled slaw was so good!! I didn’t think I’d manage to eat the side of sweet potato fries I’d ordered after seeing the size of our mains but they were so crispy and perfectly cooked, they got demolished too! The kids macaroni portion was really good and the garlic bread was homemade and lovely. Service was top notch, very friendly welcoming team and even little touches like having plastic cups for the kids to use is really good. A really pleasant, relaxed atmosphere, could’ve easily sat there all afternoon! Can’t wait to go back again and try the other options on the menu because the choices are great, it was hard to pick just one! Thank you to The Cottage Kitchen!

One of the nicest places in St Andrews. Can recommend strongly for a nice cup of coffee and excellent cakes, brunch or lunch. We have also enjoyed multiple group dinners for private occasions or conferences at The Cottage Kitchen and have enjoyed them greatly. All the food is home made and locally sourced, and always delicious. The staff is also extremely friendly - we'll definitely be back!

I have eaten at Cottage Kitchen on many occasions, both for conference dinners in a group and more intimate one-on-one lunches. I have always been very happy with the quality of food and service, and the staff have always been unfailingly helpful and accomodating. It has both outdoor and indoor seating, and the atmosphere is very charming. It is my go-to place to eat at in St Andrews - would heartily recommend.

One of the best vegan breakfasts I’ve had, see photo. Add some good coffee and outdoor seating to watch the world go by and you have the perfect wee spot in St Andrews.
