The Criterion - St. Andrews - Photo album

First of all the staff is AMAZING! The manager is extremely kind and cares for customers like family. Food is hands down perfect and fish is as fresh as it just came from water. Huge props for a perfectly poured Guinness as I’m very picky about that. Can’t wait to be back to Scotland and will make s
One of the stops on our tour today is St Andrews. We dropped off in town, and did a bit of window shopping, selecting The Criterion for lunch. We choose to sit inside, and got a choice booth at the front window. Frazier was out wait staff. He was GREAT!! Told all about the Cri-Pie they are famous
Nice pub in St. Andrews. They have pies until late and a limited menu including fish and chips until early evening. Decent selection of beers including real ales (cask ales). Usually pretty busy which can be a good thing in a UK pub.
We only called in for a few beers. The bar staff were really good. The pub was very busy with people eating and drinking. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.
A very sweet, traditional, family owned pub! Serves great food too!
Lovely food. Great friendly staff. Dog friendly too We will be back!!
Fab pie! Tried the Mac and cheese and steak and ale. Both delish! Interesting history of the Criterion. The taste makes it easy to see why it's been around so long.
Fabulous pub with fantastic food, especially the Cri- Pie. Our go to place in St Andrews
Went there and had a delicious chicken and chorizo pie. Absolutely sublime. The atmosphere is fine and very pub like
I went in for the Steak pie as I had it before with my previous partner and it is too die for, I was not let down again. It really is amazing . The bar staff made sure we had a table outside and the atmosphere was buzzing. It was really busy but they were so accommodating. First class and the lager
Nice wee pub, always nice atmosphere. Service is always good & food is great, I'd recommend their Steak Pie ( Famous CRI ), Fish n Chips and the Nachos; they're all big portions! Overall, nice place to stop and grab a pint and some good food.
highly recommend. large portions. good service. Thank you. I'll be back again😉🫶🏻
5 stars all round for this iconic pub in St Andrews . Had a terrific lunch here sitting outside in the Fife sunshine albeit with the odd shower ( They lasted minutes) . The staff were super friendly which added to the relaxed atmosphere. The food was excellent and you could clearly see the busines
The Cri-Pie is famous for all the right reasons. Good quality cuts of meat, large variety, had mine with Haggis which was just perfect with the peas and potato through the inside of the pie. A bit tight to get into and not a lot of indoor seats but amazing food that surpasses it's price situated in
Great food, with HUGE portions in St. Andrew's.
We ate outside on a sunny day, Served by a super nice waitress Alia, Had a very tasty chicken salad and the steak pie with a pint and wine. Usual St Andrews Pub dinner prices. Lovely atmosphere will definitely come again!
Stopped by for dinner on a Thursday evening, we enjoyed the steak & ale pie, a traditional Scottish dish, accompanied by two pint of an IPA beer. Simply delicious! The pub was crowded inside, which made the environment quite noisy, but this the way a pub has to be! Young, speedy and nice the personn
Nice place with very friendly staff. And it has a nice atmosphere and ambience, apart from one american member of staff who seems to be in the worst mood every time we are there. You do not even get spoken to when your drinks are served.
Good food, nice Pub, but the best was the exceptional staff. Such a warm welcome and so much consideration! Prices are also very good.
