THE BEST FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD!
I went with two other people and we all agreed that the food was ridiculously good. I'm lucky enough to have been to one of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants, and The Vine Leaf was better than that!

Excellent food and service. Extensive menu guaranteed to have something for everyone. Fillet steak was first class as was the lemon sole according to my better half. Highly recommended but you need to book well in advance.
We have been enjoying the food and atmosphere that Ian and Morag are masters at for 30 years. We first went in 1988 when they were a fledgling business which has gone from strength to strength. Thoughtful, diverse menu with many local touches; excellent wine and cocktail offerings, fairly priced; cordial, friendly and deft table service. All in all, a hidden gem that could hold its own against any of the trendy au courant dining spots in Edinburgh or Glasgow.

Service has always been good with the owner being very friendly in recomending wines and ports.

Small family run restaurant offering excellently presented food at a great price. I've been going here for years and it is consistently good.
The restaurant is a little hidden family gem! The menu caters for meat and fish lovers as well as vegetarians. It is reasonably priced and the food tastes great.
Nothing labelled as vegan on menu but turns out the aubergine curry was vegan and a number of the vegetarian options could be made vegan. Very nice atmosphere and helpful staff.
Absolutely divine. We had our anniversary meal here and were treated like royalty. Food was excellent as was the service.
