Nice pub friendly staff! I was there for speed dating. There was a singer playing from Brighton who I chatted to and I was really impressed with her and all this on a Thursday evening! Well done guys great evening

Fantastic pub, come here for the comedy which was brilliant - a full room on a Wednesday night and some great comics I'd not seen before. I'll definitely be back, the food was great, didn't take long to cook and the service lovely.

Although I’ve not been there for a few months, I hold this pub very close to my heart, definitely wouldn’t have been able to finish my degree without The Crown. The staff are wonderful and it’s quiet during the day so great place to work. There are midweek events like pub quizzes, speed dating and sip and paint classes but I’ve never attended so I can’t speak about the quality. Unfortunately the guiness tastes a bit like soap and you have to ask for the volume to be put on for the football but considering the size of the pub, the staff and the plethora of plug sockets, this is a small price to pay

A lovely large pub just outside the town centre. Lots of seating areas in and outdoors. Very clean throughout!! Served by friendly staff. A great selection of beers, spirits, and soft drinks, including tea and coffee. Good selection of food. Very reasonable prices.

Nice pub. We sometimes pop in on an afternoon and it's usually very quiet. Nice decor and lovely courtyard garden area. Our son had the pan-fried king prawns, which he enjoyed.

Large traditional pub with large garden too. Plenty of seating indoors so you can get away from the TVs, if that’s not your thing. Nicely decorated too. Good selection of real ales and lagers - Mad Goose is a favourite. Haven’t eaten here yet but was surprised by how good the food looked - and it appears to go down well. Friendly staff and a little quieter than the Town Centre pubs. Definitely worth a visit!

Not had for a drink. Good selection of lagers. Very prompt at getting you out of the door so they can close up.

Had good Easter Monday lunch here. Nice trad with modern twist pub with larg'ish courtyard garden which is usually fairly quiet. Service friendly & quick. Taking 1 star off as no gluten free beer.

Haven't been here for quite a long time. The last time was when it had just been refurbished. This visit I felt quite a nice atmosphere, a shame the football was inescapable would have been nice to not have to listen to it in at least one part of the pub but at least it wasn't on screen in your face. The Sunday lunch was super tasty - my only criticism was it wasn't very hot which is a shame otherwise would have given 5 stars
