It's bloody good food! I'm gonna be honest I've never had such an amazing experience for such a great price. I think the king William is a great pub that is often mistaken for a restaurant because it's food and service is that high a quality.

Refurb is fabulous. Ordered caembert mushrooms for Starter and bacon Carbonara for main. Couldn't fault it, arrived hot and was delicious. Staff were very attentive. Chris and Nicky you have done a amazing job. Good luck!
Great food and drink with a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff
It was great to have a live band at the King William. Most people in St Albans go to the town centre on Saturdays and few go to this pub. This was turned around due to the live music and was well attended as a result. Keep this up and you will make a lot of people happy not to mention your profits.

good vibe and friendly pub - does a great roast dinner on sundays with a set menu - didn’t manage to try the vegan wellington as they had run out, but the rest of the meal was lovely. really recommend the sticky toffee pudding!
Great setting, friendly welcome. Delicious food of amble amount. Good value for money. Easy to access and park without having to faff about entering reg numbers. Very attentive staff with non intrusive manner. Really enjoyed my visit. I'll be back.
We regularly attend the quiz at the King Will on a Wednesday night and are never disappointed. Great tasting, value for money food. Good customer service and a nice atmosphere.
We enjoyed our lunch and the only improvement I can suggest is a slightly healthier menu, eg more salad choices and new potato options. I didn't find any healthy desserts either. I was pleased to see the calories listed on the menu.
Spent a few hours here. Pleasant pub. Polite and friendly staff. Food was perfectly fine. It was a quiet period when I was there so hard to really judge the atmosphere. Would return again if ever local.
Interior looks smart, clean, well aired and tables laid out neatly. Plenty of room for diners and drinkers. Service prompt and friendly. Lunchtime deal very good value.

Can't fault it really, just had a quick bite and as expected for breaded mushrooms and wings. Asked for sauce on the side got a massive pot!
