Everyone locally knows it’s the best chippy around and I have to agree. Staff work hard to serve up fresh fish and chips and although it’s a small place you’re never waiting long for your order. Prices are reasonable too. This is what fish and chips should taste like!

Honestly, one of the best fish and chips I've had in a loooong while. The cod was sweet and fresh - not oily at all, and the chips tasty too. Definitely worth it 👌🏾. Thankyou!

As far as a chippy goes, the camp fish & chips is one of the best I've had. Simple take away with friendly staff and great fish and chips. Batter is nice and light while chips are freshly fried up to take away.
These guys are fantastic. Excellent food and excellent service. I ordered a regular cod and forgot the chips. I called the chip shop and they added a regular chips to my order even though it had already been paid for and it's something they don't usually do. Best chippy in St Albans and always had b
Fish amazingly crispy and lovely chips. So happy it reopened after the fire. Sometimes there is more of a wait but only if they have been busy and having to make an entirely new batch of fish

Best saveloy and chips Ive had in ages. Cost me less than my chappy.meal deal from asda. Sav chips and curry sauce 5.60. You can't beat that. Thanks
Have to say. I've been to many chippers in Ireland and in UK. This is the best one I have been to. Fish is perfect and batter is lovely and light.
Best fish and chip shop in St Albans. The owners still ask after me years later even after I've moved away. The food is amazing, and service 10/10. You'll struggle to get a look in on a Friday, but it's still worth the queue :)
Love it, our local fish and chips shop open again and as good as ever. Long wait on Good Friday but it was worth it. Really enjoyed mine. It’s takeaway only.

6 years after I last commented, and despite a major fire and Harry Styles, still the best in town.

So happy they are back open! Had it on Friday for my fish supper and it was delicious the cod was flakey and crispy batter and the chips was better than I remember definitely worth a vist!
Best fish & chips for some distance. Always busy on a Friday but the food is always well cooked. Have recently moved further away from the area but still come back here instead of using more local places as its so good.
