This is a qwerky and unique place to come for a nice home cake or scones, with cyclist photos, literature and clothes to different races and memories, with beautiful low beans and lovely cakes, we all had different cakes, orange and lemon cream cake, earl grey and blackcurrant and a Victoria sponge. Something nice see if your travel between Hemel Hempstead to St Albans or Harpenden or Junction 9 of the M1. Over as every cyclist does using the nicky line.
Would love this to open earlier for cyclists. Otherwise a great stop to take a well needed break. Good coffee. Friendly service
Open on Bank Holiday Monday! I visited with a gentleman in a wheelchair and we managed to get a wheelchair inside, just. Mind the step. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and catching up with some locals from the village. Great little place, we will be coming back again soon!
What a lovely little coffee shop, we did a pit stop during a 33 mile cycle ride to refuel and had a strong Americano and the most delicious lemon drizzle cake. Seating available outdoors, friendly staff and quirky cycling themed decor, definitely a thumbs up from me and most definitely will be stopping here again to refuel :-)
Great atmo, place with the character. Good stop on a bike ride if in the area
Nice well located Café. Popular with weekend cyclists. Loads of parking for bikes. Friendly service.
Great little independent coffee place! The best homemade cakes and really good coffee!
The Hub is the essential pit stop when cycling around or through Hertfordshire. Highly recommended.
We enjoyed an excellent coffee and shared a slice of locally homemade cake. The cake was also first rate, moist, tasty and fresh. There are numerous items of interest to any cyclist as well as photos and other mementos. The service was very friendly and helpful. Though on four wheels and not two (or three) this cafe is definitely tuned to the needs of cyclists.
Nice place for a coffee but not in big groups as quite small
Don’t normally do reviews during global 😷 as things don’t run as normal, but i’ll make an exception here, just passing during a walk about and noticed the crowd outside, so gave it a go, the girl taking the order had no problem understanding my request, i tend to be a bit of a decaf skinny over easy sort of nerd, a costa’s barista’s head would have exploded by now any way after the longest wait i’ve ever had for a coffee, turns out it was worth the wait probably best cappuccino ever.
Lovely coffee and cake. Cool decor and people are very friendly.
Amazing little coffee shop like home from home with a cosy and comfy old fashioned feel; you will find a great selection of delicious cakes, and the finest coffee from a specialist brand! The owner has a professional cycling background and 'The Hub' is decorated with cycling memorabilia which gives it a quirky touch. The lovely staff are trained baristas and are warm and welcoming to all. This is a one-stop coffee shop, so do come and give it a try - you will be pleasantly surprised! (Situated on the corner of the High Street in Redbourn)
Cyclists café. Good place to stop for coffee.
Great wine, sunny courtyard. Nice vibe. Not too busy. Enjoy some great wine and some lovely food. Would recommend… be back soon!
Cosy little cafe that's reasonably priced and cycle friendly for a quick pick-me-up or mid ride coffee/tea/cake stop. With seating indoors and out and they even provide blankets to cover your legs in winter if you choose to sit outdoors. I'll be back!
Have had a coffee here a few times whilst out on a ride; great place, great service and great coffee
A great little cyclist friendly cafe. Superb coffee and great cakes. Frequented by cyclists of all disciplines, ages, ability and attire. It can get busy, especially at weekends when the friendly and capable staff do their very best to keep everyone happy. Locals and non cyclists love it too.
This was the first I'd visited the Hub. Judging by the queue, it's seems to be a really popular cafe with locals and cyclists. The coffee was well made even if I had to wait a while for it. The inside looked like it'd have a good atmosphere. I'll visit again though when lockdown has lifted.
