Nice cozy place. Meals are delicious and well served. Service is very friendly. Might want to book beforehand otherwise risk having to wait a bit if it's busy.
Fri night fun.
Maitre d' was friendly and helpful. Terry the chef came out and shared chat and liqueur at end of night.
Familial feel.
Pizza, pasta ordered and also vegan option available which was fab as 2 of our party vegan.
We had an issue with one starter and it was sorted with minimal fuss and no hassle. Have to commend a business who will do that without even a single need to discuss. 10/10 for service.
Smart interior and lovely ambience.
Lovely meal with generous portions.
Staff were great and extremely baby friendly giving us some toys to keep our little one occupied while we waited. Could have been slightly quicker with food but they were very busy and communicated with us well throughout.
Will certainly be coming back.
Called here quite by chance on a Sunday morning, had a really tasty breakfast with great service and was told that they had two bands playing in the park, right outside the door so ended up staying for the afternoon.
We will definitely be back
This is the place to go if you’re in St Albans. Three reasons:
- Service: usually fast and people are so kind and friendly
- Food: options for everybody and so tasty, specially breakfasts.
- Location: in front of a beautiful park.
Perfect ambience.
Great place to meet for lunch, lovely food, and very accommodating. We had 2 infants, one puppy, and 3 adults in our group, and the team helped and ensured everything was ok.
A fairly unique Italian restaurant overlooking the park and with a part conservatory on the park side giving the feeling of nearly being outside.
Authentic fresh, tasty and filling food all served as good size portions. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere as well. Good coffee too!
Highly recommended👍
We came for breakfast and were not disappointed. It's not the cheapest breakfast in the area but you definitely get what you pay for. Quality of the bacon, sausages etc was evident. Will be back and recommend.
We visited today with young family members in tow having only ever had the delicious ice-cream takeaway before now. We were made to feel very welcome (despite the amount of mud we brought in with us!). The staff were extremely accommodating and provided various forms of entertainment to keep the children quiet (aged 2-10) which meant we could relax a little too. Food was delicious (I had eggs Royale) with the kids menu giving a nice variety and good portion sizes even for the older ones - and all very reasonably priced, and we will definitely return!
Love to have coffee and breakfast. I usually have the salmon, eggs with Avo and it’s generous and delicious. The coffee is also some of the best in town. And you get ton have a view of the park…
Love this place such a cozy vibe. I love their chai latte and it’s definitely the best place for breakfast. I’m a regular. Staff is amazing, very friendly. Noor and Benzee keep it up !
We love eating here. The food is always great, without exception, and the setting on the edge of the park is a lovely atmosphere, if sometimes a little cold in the winter months.
Staff are friendly but honestly, they seem disorganised. Lots of them milling around but they don't seem to be assigned to tables so at times you can get forgotten, which seems silly for such a small restaurant.
First visit here and would return again for sure. Great food, lovely little restaurant and the service was great. The staff were very polite and attentive. Very good value for money. Took some home in a box. I will look forward to my next visit.
Today I was delighted to find Verdi's. I reluctantly left, (I could have stayed all day) feeling satisfyingly full of the delicious black pudding special. The combination of the soft poached eggs, crispy pancetta, spinach, quality black pudding, hashed potato's drizzled with hollandaise was heaven on a plate. The Italian coffee was lovely and smooth and it was delightfully refreshing to have freshly squeezed orange juice. All set in a beautiful park location with a warm welcome from Rosey, who's hospitality is none other than uplifting. Full marks for Verdi's and looking forward to returning to try their other delicious menu options.
This place is lovely to eat in, convenient to buy from the window to eat in the park, and they do the best takeaway pizza I've ever had. I've had a lot of takeaway pizza.
The food is amazing! Went today for my mums birthday and loved it all. Would highly recommend the food. Will definitely come again.
The only thing I didn’t like was an older lady who really spoke down to the other younger male waiter in front of the whole table. He just needed help with working out the bill and she spoke to him in such a horrible way.
