I literally never leave reviews, but I do believe this restaurant needs to be praised!;
My friends booked this for just a casual evening, they have tried 4 times to get in here but it has always been fully booked, now we know why! The staff were beyond friendly, catering to our every need. The food was to die for and the cocktails were so delicious! At the end of our meal, one of the (I’m assuming) owners and a waitress came over and did free shots with us and even brought us a free dessert to share! Utterly amazing experience, if you’re lucky enough to get a booking! �
Well where do I start I organised my nieces hen night here on the 13th may,(Hollie) we all had a brilliant night, lovely food great entertainment and loved the plate smashing. The staff were all amazing and had a lot of fun which was really nice to see the staff joining in with our celebrations. I would highly recommend this place n we will definitely return again. Well done all of you especially little Johnny the DJ �

I recently went with a big crowd of women and we had an absolutely amazing evening. The staff couldn't do enough for us. The owner Maria was so lovely and welcoming. Will definitely go again

Good food. Very friendly staff. A very good party venue with plenty of space and a great sound system.
Had a fantastic meal here. The staff were welcoming, made excellent recommendations from the menu, and accommodated one of our guests with vision and mobility requirements.
The meal was served fast, and the food was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the swordfish skewers and Egyptian parcel. Both of these dishes were suggested to us.
I have always enjoyed Bar Meze, but this visit particularly stood out as exceptional.
Great restaurant lovely genuinely warm welcome from the owner. Quality ingredients clearly cooked with love and pride. I think this will definitely be a regular restaurant for my lunch meetings.
Also really easy to order #healthyyum and I love the flavours from the charcoal grill, makes me remember what summer is like.
We chose Bar Meze for lunch when we visited St Albans for old times' sake. Great food, friendly and welcoming service, and could only have been improved if we hadn't been driving and could have enjoyed a bottle of wine with our meal. Thoroughly recommended.
Friendly Cypriot restaurant on Adelaide Street in St Albans. We ordered multiple meze dishes like falafel, pitta, baba ganoush, grilled mushrooms, the grilled seafood platter with prawns and swordfish. All were freshly prepared and tasty. Service was good. The dessert chocolate bomb was really good.Worth a visit.
Visited here 2 nights ago and the food and service was amazing. We had the swordfish & chicken with rice and chips and everything was so pleasant. Would definitely come again, everyone was very friendly - thanks Bar Meze !

Had dinner here last night. Definitely a place to return too! Food was great, had amazing flavours, and when I asked for something chilli, they came back with a great home made sauce. Service was great and efficient.
My family and I had a lovely mezze. It was so tasty and definitely worth the money. The staff were friendly and attentive and helpful. I would definitely recommend a visit. I will be back
This is a great restaurant. The staff were super friendly (The chef even came over and spoke to us) and the price was reasonable. The swordfish steak was super delicious and tender and the mixed meze was delicious. Highly recommend this place.
We attended a wedding ceremony and the bride and groom picked Bar Meze as the revenue. It was - fantastic. The food, the staff and the service were simply magnificent. Would highly recommend!

First visit here last Friday, we had a set menu.
The dips at the start were incredible. Generous portions, lovely fun atmosphere. Felt like being on holiday!
Party of 7 of us received a great service, food was gorgeous and reasonably priced. Will definitely eat there again.
Best place in St Albans for Calamari and Taramasalata! Their Baklava is amazing too
