The mediterranean breakfast is lovely to look at and to eat. A perfect start to any weekend or post hangover. The staff are well trained and Kevin and Julie run the place like clockwork. Consistent food and drink with a lovely courtyard within a stones throw of the cathedral.

Great secret place, sadly, word of mouth is spreading the knowledge. I return because its consistent. My dog (archie) returns because he loves the biscuits. Please dont tell others, so that i can still revisit again and again.

It was a great experience. Nice food, nice service, nice location, nice attitude. Best of all, the food was tasty, which is what you want at the end of the day. We will be back! The O'Sheas

Beautiful coffee and a great menu. Specials always change and everything is made in house. A great independent and just what St. Albans needs.

We had a lovely coffee and toast stop off here with my Breeze bike ride, staff were so friendly and offered to make space for our bikes and keep an eye on them through the kitchen window for us- how lovely

The best version of an English Breakfast I had on this London trip. The hash browns are a must to add. Atmosphere is very nice with plenty of outdoor seating and a nice garden area as well. Very friendly people

A delightful little cafe near the center of town. The service was really friendly and the hash browns were excellent. Unusual in that they were little spheres but they had a lovely peppery taste. Well recommended.

Lovely breakfast here and we devoured the home made hash browns! Very friendly greetings and lovely to hear locals popping in and out saying hello and getting their coffee fix. One tiny suggestion - a couple of kids breakfast options on the menu would be great ? Thank you!

Great breakfast or brunch place. It's quite big with lots of tables outside and some inside. First class coffee. Nice vibe - including a delightful mini nature reserve at the bag overlooking the Abbey. They have bee hives and produce honey which is used by a local distillery to produce a special gin. Recommended.

Had left my phone outside on table. It was packed, jazz night street party. Went back could not find phone, but the owner came outside with me and used his phone to ring mine in the packed beer garden. It was found under a coat on table, intact. I was on holiday in St Albans and I lived 200 miles away so it was a great service and very helpful. Brilliant.

I love this place. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Can get busy and hard to get a table if you haven't booked. I recommend their sausage rolls.

"Hidden gem" though easy to find on the left down George Street. Varied menu. Well presented food. Seats inside and ample room outside, partly covered and a 'secret garden' at the far end. Views of Abbey cathedral. A calm and pleasant experience.
