Amazing location right on the beach, with beautiful views. Loads of great Verdant beers on tap and super nice pizzas. The Gluten Free base is also really good. Really lovely staff. If you like beer and pizza it's a must visit.
Great little place overlooking the beach with a good-sized upstairs restaurant and bar height chair seating on the ground floor sea facing terrace. Menu consists only of Pizzas but tgwy are cooked in a proper pizza oven and absolutely delisceous! Dogs are welcome in the restaurant and on the beach in front of the Cafe.
What a beautiful location for a bar and restaurant. We had pizza whilst we were here and it was delicious. This was a good recommendation from a friend and I will be trusting them while heatedly. We would happily come here again.
Awesome views, lovely team running the place and, overall, the best beer of all Cornwall.
I had several very cold verdant that i super enjoyed
Best pizza ever! All staff were lovely, and I would recommend to everyone in a heart beat 🥰 Was incredibly busy but very efficient and staff helped us find a table and informed us of the wait time
Cool place to grab some beers and pizza. Tried the margarita and it was packed with flavour, tasty cheese and nice chewy crust. Friendly staff even offered a hot cuppa to warm me up after a swim
Such a great place to sit and enjoy the waves. Service was friendly and a great selection of beers. Pizzas were really good- would be good to have an option with vegan cheese.
Wow wow wow! Absolute gem of a place right on the beach. The most amazing selection of tapas, small plates with bold combinations. Wonderful views, service and food can't wait to go again. The squid with chrizo and king prawns in garlic were my stand out favourites. Great espresso martini. Cannot recommend this place enough. Booking is essential.
Loving the Verdant takeover. Amazing beer and pizza!
Finally, after 2 years, got around to going to Schooners, and we weren't to be disappointed. It was opening night for the season and everything went so well that you would think they hadn't shut over the winter. Friendly staff at the bar took us up to our table which had a fantastic view over the cove. Took a drinks order whilst we mulled over the menu. We decided to go for the tapas option so chose 5 different between us - fried aubergine with feta, scallops, burnt cauliflower, crispy belly pork and king prawns. All arrived together and were well presented and hot. Also had a very reasonably priced bottle of Pinot Grigio. Thought we had to try the dessert so we had the ice cream, and Creme Brulee, both of which were excellent.
Couldn't fault the place or the food - excellent service also.
Only downside would be it's size - we only counted 30 covers which were booked twice over the evening (we were there at 6, and the table was booked again for 8) so you really do need to book, but it's certainly worth it.
