A really nice, welcoming inn full of character, away from a town and with plenty of parking. Quite a nice selection of beers, and a lovely menu with plenty of choice. I took my son here for his 17th Birthday meal and he recommends the Ribeye steak. I had a turkey roast dinner, which was delicious, a
Lovely country pub. Food and service is excellent Plenty of parking. Children's menu available and crayons.
We only stopped off for a drink as it was a lovely sunny Sunday afternoon. We sat outside with our dog. Lovely to see they provided dog bowls for water and a jar of dog treats on the table at the entrance. Inside looked lovely, fairy lights all round the tables in the bar area. Had a look at the men
Been a couple of times now and staff are always so friendly. We visited with our 1 year old (and his toy farm animals!) and everyone there were really welcoming. Great pint of Guinness too!
We booked a large group meal for a work-related event. Service and food was excellent. The lasagne I had was probably one of the best I've ever had.
Been twice after how impressed I was with my first visit.
The food was top notch.
Good selection of draught beers, lagers and ciders.
Service was impeccable.
Nicely decorated.
If someone was to ask for any negatives. Then the only issues I could see maybe the toilet's were upstairs so someone with a
Beautiful old pub, dogs are welcome in the bar area. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is good and quite a varied menu compared to other places.
Well worth a visit, I have passed many times and not stopped, regret it now. It has a large Carpark, large outdoor eating spaces and loads of
Delicious, well cooked food and a pub that caters well for dietary allergies. A group of 6 of us drove a distance to meet at a central point and really enjoyed the Nightingale. Staff were attentive, but also allowed us the time to enjoy a long lunch; - no rush on having to vacate the table. Desserts
Absolutely lovely find! Pass this place occasionally but thought I and my friend would try it. It was fantastic, staff, especially Sam was bubbly and friendly and the food was excellent. Lovely ambience and will definitely be coming again. If you haven't been, definitely try!
Well we had to wait almost 1 hour for our food, many people had to wait there was only 2 people serving running round like headless chicken's. I don't know how many people in the kitchen but at a busy time you need more people on. Food was good no complaints there .
Met friends for lunch, was nice and early so quiet. Staff were excellent our waitress was v good, quick, knowledgeable & accurate. Full marks. Food was really nice, we enjoyed it all. Thanks
Lovely food and friendly staff. 10 of us dining all enjoyed the food and experience.
Lovely food and atmosphere which was cosy and inviting. Service excellent, the waitress was informative and helpful. Definitely on the ball. Will most certainly be going back again.
We tried to book online but there were some technical issues, so we just dropped in hoping for a table for 4. It was very busy with diners enjoying lovely looking Sunday roasts. We were greeted by friendly staff, all willing to help even though they were clearly very busy. The manager came and sa
We arrived today for lunch in a group. We were very much looking forward to our meal, but were advised of a 45 minute wait on food, maybe sooner if possible.
The waitress Sam L was absolutely run off her feet trying to appease all the customers whilst they all were waiting on food. None of the table
Very busy lunchtime visit but Sam was very attentive and helpful. Food prepared beautifully by Amy & Darren. We enjoyed our visit and look forward to seeing you again soon
I have been coming to The Nightingale for many years because of the excellent food and service. Today has been back to the level of customer service we would expect, BUT I have to say that this year that had deteriorated. My last visit on 8th August was absolutely terrible. We waited over 20 minutes
My dad visited with his friends and the manager / staff are always really friendly to him and his friends (all in their 80s) it's a place they really enjoy visiting and utilised the voucher which is great too. Good food and staff.
