Delicious coffee, tasty food, friendly staff & superb ambience.
The decor inside is cool, the coffee is excellent, far superior to the big franchised & chain coffee shops.
The service was fantastic and the staff couldn’t do enough to help you.
We shared the Nutella and strawberries pancakes and they were sublime, some of the nicest pancakes we’ve ever consumed. I recommend the flat white!
Thank you for a lovely experience :)
Stopped off in Spennymoor to pick up a few groceries on our way to an Airbnb. Looking for somewhere to kill half an hour and grab a coffee we came across The Grind. Excellent find. We had lattes and a Croque Monsieur (looked good in the reviews) which we just shared. Great staff, hot coffee and very good food. I happily recommend it and if I'm ever in the area again I would like to sample their menu some more.
First visit here for a work lunch. Absolutely loved the place. Small but great atmosphere. Food and service were amazing. Will definitely be back.
Cute little café with friendly staff and great breakfast and brunch options. Definitely recommended.
Not many tables so would suggest you make a booking for peak times.
Amazing food, service was very quick, staff were friendly and we were greeted with some Greta Van Fleet in the background on the way in so I knew I'd love the place 😂
Highly recommended!
I travelled to The Grind in Spennymoor for Grind Fest which was a bank holiday Sunday festival. I had several drinks including some delicious cocktails and gorgeous Hot Dogs (pictured) which were a special on the day. It was the best hot dog I’ve actually ever had and I wish I knew where they were from! The staff were really friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Special thank you to Amy who looked after us. We loved the Sunday at The Grind so much we came back on Bank Holiday Monday to have breakfasts and got 1 Eggs Benedict and a 1 Full English. The quality of the meat on the breakfast was obvious and they advised it was from a local Butcher and told me which one. I loved the black pudding, the homemade potato rosti and the brioche toast. It was a very special breakfast. Washed down with some local coffee, the flat white was particularly good. The grind was clean and I used the toilet which was nicely done out and also clean. 5/5. The only downside for me is they haven’t got more cafes as I’d like one nearer my house! We will be back soon!
Gorgeous place, lovely food and atmosphere. Great service. Highly recommended
Such a great brunch place. The coffee is high quality and lovely staff and vibe. We had the eggs royal and the breakfast nachos, both were delicious (and no skimping on the nachos toppings!)
The Grind in Spennymoor is an exemplary cafe situated right in the town centre. It's menu is comprehensive on both food and drinks. The staff are unbelievably friendly and attentive, along with quality food and beverages. Couldn't recommend this place more!
What a lovely place. Very popular we were lucky to get a table as we hadn't booked. Nice staff and the food is so fresh and tastes great.
