We had the Sunday Carvery yesterday. It was superb and well worth the cost. The staff were exceptional and could not do enough for our party of 6 adults and 4 children. Would highly recommend Sparkford Inn.
Had our daughters christening reception there yesterday the new owners did all they could for us the room was newly decorated and looked beautiful for our 60 quests the food was amazing will certainly come back for an evening meal
The landlord and lady couldn't do enough for us and it was just perfect would highly recommend hiring this venue for events

Fantastic Hidden gem! The owners are doing great things.. we stayed over night in one of the rooms and also had our evening meal and Breakfast here. The food was done brilliantly. The breakfast ( which was included in the overnight stay) was great, a full English! Thank you again 😀👍🏻
First Christmas meal this year with the family on Friday evening....absolutely lush!!
Second meal today with a Christmas Eve lunchtime visit!! Again the food and service cannot be faulted at all!!

I left a 5* review a while ago but didn't leave a comment. Gemma and Darrell have done a fantastic job with this place. Recently had our wedding reception here (22.7.17) and could not fault them at all. I would definitely recommend to anyone who needs a venue or just somewhere to eat or stay. Me and my husband really liked the room staff were very friendly the room was lovely and the breakfast was so nice.
We had a party of 20 people and we were served so quickly and the quality of food was amazing. Even the children were happy with their food! Polite and helpful staff. Highly recommended
The new owners said try us. We did!! Smiling warm welcome, super carvery, gluten free treacle pud for my other half, great service and no cooking for me on a Sunday. Will be back soon. Good luck for the future with this new venture

Stayed there last night. A lovely old, former coaching House. The room was great, with a new large comfortable bed. Our evening meal was very, very nice and breakfast was great. The owners and staff are very friendly, being eager to make your stay a pleasant one. :)

I came in with my son and was greeted and shown to a table. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming! We were served quickly and the waitress looked after us well! My son enjoyed his meal from the children's menu and I enjoyed mac and cheese! Good food and great prices! Staff were wonderful too! Highly recommend
I had an incredible experience at the Stratford Inn! The rustic charm of the pub made it the perfect stop on our biking adventure. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and the mixed grill we ordered was simply delicious. And let's talk about the praline chocolate tart—it was truly out of this world! The locals were friendly and eager to chat, adding a warm and inviting atmosphere to the place. A five-star gem that I can't wait to visit again.
Cracking carvery. Staying at the local campsite. Had the carvery, great value at £11.99. Really enjoyed the meal and the chef obviously takes pride in his work. Friendly service. Would recommend.
Comfortable, clean rooms, friendly service, competitively priced freshly cooked evening meals and a complimentary continental breakfast. What more does the weary traveller need? We'll definitely stay here again.
Went here with my family and had a lovely meal. The food was splendid, the staff looked after us and it was nice to see the pub back busy again.
We stopped on the off chance of being able to get a Sunday roast on the way back from a trip away. Not a problem, a table was found albeit in the bar area. The carvery was varied and wholesome, thoroughly enjoyed it.
A lovely Old London, fabulous food and fabulous,friendly staff. We were made so welcome and made my Grandaughters wedding reception so enjoyable.l would recommend this warm delightful gem to everyone.
The one line description on the menu really understates the salads. I had the chicken and bacon, a full breast of nicely grilled chicken and really crispy, crunchy bacon topping a really tasty salad. Just regret not taking a picture.
We booked to stay here overnight as it was about a 10 minute drive from where our friends 40th birthday party was. The room was lovely and even came with complimentary breakfast in the room. The staff were lovely and welcoming. The only downfall would be there was a loud noise coming from the plumbing system when we arrived and it went off every 15 minutes which was quite irritating. However, we were only there to sleep and then travel home the next day so we didn’t mind. The other thing is there seems to be no taxis in the area we called 10 different phone numbers and they were either fully booked or didn’t come to sparkford. (Not complaining just giving information to people who consider staying here that are using it for a local event). Overall it was a lovely stay and we would stay here again if in the area.
I didn't actually have any food, but my friends did, and it looked really good. They thoroughly enjoyed it. It's an attractive place with plenty of parking.
Gemma and the team hosted a meal for our wedding and I can not thank them enough. Everyone was lovely, the tables looked beautiful and the food was great. She was so helpful throughout the whole process and I'm really grateful, we had a wonderful evening. Thank you to everyone at the Sparkford Inn!
