Chips were great, fresh cooked and hot, sausage was tasty too. Good to see recyclable packaging. Well done to new owners.

Good bunch in there, always happy to see you. Not badly priced either considering how everything is costing so much these days. Mostly go on a Saturday about 6ish, but have fetched fish & chips in the week too. Not had any of the pizzas or wraps, but the seem popular too. It's been years since I sat down in the little restaurant bit, but there are people sat having their meal in there now and again when I go.
Henry's has been a favourite of mine for a few years.
The food they serve is delicious and at good value.
Their staff are polite and respectful to customers.
Food is given a short duration after ordering.
Orders can be made by phone to be picked up or in person.
You can sit inside the building to eat the food if you wish.
It's just a shame that they didn't keep the delivery option they had during Covid, as that made it very convenient to get their food.
Oh well, I need the exercise.
Overall, it is a lovely place to eat. I recommend Henry's.
Went tonight for the first time. Cod and chips and haddock and chips + mushy peas. Really lovely meal, crispy batter, beautiful fresh succulent fish, the chips were perfect, crispy and fluffy. Only complaint would be the 15 minute wait for my Haddock☹️ had I been told I’d have gone for the cod as I was starving ☺️, but not going to mark it down for that…
Plenty of chips, chicken was really good. Maybe less chips and a price drop would be better.
Once again the fish and chips were amazing from this fish and chip shop. The staff are also very friendly and efficient. Thank you so much. I did not really want to leave a review because it will make you busier and queues will possibly be longer, but you are such a good shop I had to thank you.

If you want authentic tasting seaside fish and chips look no further.. from 40yrs of fish shop dining this has to be THE best discounting genuine beachfront chip shops whom are unbeatable due to the close location to the source Crop. The range of food on offer here is both traditional and modern in abundance. Pizza , mars bars, pineapple rings, wraps , saveloy, cods roe, pukka , you name it, it will be sold. Additionally all types of fish are for sale and range in sizes from a small (chunky) to large. Condiments both free (salt n vinegar) and for sale ( bottles salt and vinegar). There is a sizeable restaurant area that is highly clean and pleasant. There are meal offers such as lunchtime specials. This shop has been here under the same family for at least 30 years and more likely quite a bit on top of that and before this was fish and chip shops ran by other owners..so it has been fitted for the purpose for decades. The staff are a pleasant bunch and always have a smile and happy to chat to patrons. This is a eatery you will find no complaint with. I know people mostly always champion their local but I write reviews with no bias.. find my local mcds review to see this lol , I have eaten from here over a thousand occasions and that is a conservative count and not many of those haven't been really nice, obviously it has happened at times, no where can be infalluble.
The staff was happy and friendly,I ordered haddock and chips and didn't have to wait long the chips was nice chunky and
slightly crispy the fish was cooked perfectly with a nice thin crispy batter will definitely go back.

Love Henry's and their gluten free fish is lovely. But do be warned if you are celiac they do occasionally fry other stuff in the gluten free oil that may contain wheat. Edit Gutted they no longer do gluten free anymore. No more fish for me.

Would have been 5 stars had it not been a bit expensive.
Went for fish and chips Thursday and I have to say i havn't had fish and chip locally like it for years!!! It was soooo good!! I don't know what you've done different but they were really good!! The mushy peas too ooohhhh proper good stuff.
