Had a lovely welcoming experience here.
I visited with my husband and with my little boy who is normally a nightmare at any pub/restaurant and doesn't eat anything on a the menu out of protest to being made to sit down instead of running wild.
We was served quickly our drinks and food ,
Me and my husband both had the baked lasagna which was amazing!!
and my littlen had the picnic plate from the child's menu which bar a couple of tiny scraps he finished it happily and quietly which he never does in a restaurant. I think the idea of having a plate with a selection of nibbles on for a child is great and was perfect for my boy. We normally rush our food so we can get out quick but we was relaxed and enjoyed the meal. The staff were lovely and interacted with my son who liked to say hey and watch everyone at work buzzing about.
we will be visiting again for sure!
Thank you
We have visited several times and always had great food and service, we decided to have the afternoon tea this time as a treat and WOW, it was delicious and so much fantastic cake my wife couldn’t eat it all so the staff kindly boxed it up. Highly recommend it and will definitely have it again 😃
The kitchen was recommend to us as we were travelling from London to spalding to attend a funeral yesterday and we was not disappointed the restaurant was lovely and clean staff and service was excellent and the food was pipping hot and delicious would thoroughly recommend it.

Great top quality food, very welcoming staff, would definitely recommend, very clean and tidy. Well done
Visited here over half term with my children and my mum. Had a really enjoyable lunch, good service and minimal waiting! Definitely coming back again
Top-Notch service and food which was served hot and plentiful. Very tasty too. Friendly smiley staff. Looking forward to a return visit.
We popped in yesterday for some lunch and asked if there was somewhere out of the way we could sit as I needed to feed our baby, the lady who greeted us was so accommodating and lovely. She let us sit in the private dining area out of the way. The staff were all very courteous as I was feeding too. The food was really good, we had the vegan options which were all lovely. We especially enjoyed our soup, which came with warm bread! We also had the icecream from the cart which we took with us. We will definitely come back next time we are in Spalding!
We visited Friday afternoon just before 3pm. We ordered our drinks but decided to order our food after 3pm for the lunchtime deal.
They are amazing at catering for gluten free (I was told the owner is coeliac)
The onion rings and fish and chips was coming safe, there was so much on the menu I could have eaten!
I was absolutely stuffed after the main but the sticky toffee pudding was also gluten free so I have to have it!
The staff were friendly and polite.
Excellent service from the team at the kitchen. Myself and my brothers travelled to surprise my mum for her 60th birthday. They were amazing having a table set for us and balloons. This is the second time we have eaten here highly recommended hot food and incredibly helpful staff nothing was a problem even helping us take photos of us.
Lovely place to eat and reasonably priced. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Would highly recommend trying it and will definitely be going there again.
Perfectly average place to eat, better than the chain pubs at a similar price point.
Nice spacious, restaurant at Springfields.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
There is a cheaper menu available for late afternoon.
We had the mixed grill, which was huge and the hunter's chicken. Both meals were cooked to our liking and were served freshly cooked on hot plates.
Only thing that let everything down was the lack of vegetables, small bowl of coleslaw with the hunter's chicken. If you wanted vegetables with the beef stew then you had to have a side order, which then bumps up the price.
Very nice place located in a very nice area with lot beautiful gardens and green land. We went for lunch and it was great. We just walked in without any booking. Staff was mostly friendly and very useful. We ordered a "Hunter's chicken" from the menu which was great. It goes with chips and either salad or coleslaw. It was so good. Overall very nice restaurant. Highly recommend.😎
Popped in here for the first time for last minute dinner after a few hours of shopping and it was the best decision! Food was amazing we had roast dinners and the quality of food was excellent 👌 thoroughly enjoyed it!! Staff was so friendly very welcoming
This is the first time I’ve been here since it changed from that awful pub and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was lovely. The staff were great and I can’t fault the service. The prices were reasonable and I would go back again.
We had a fantastic meal this evening. 2 of us are coeliac and we appreciated the choices available to us.
Lasagne, garlic bread, mac and cheese with bacon, gf chilli and rice and gf beef stew with mash were all great. An Eton Mess and 2 sticky toffee puddings were also lovely.
Staff were excellent, friendly and professional.
We'll definitely go back.
Lovely place for meal out with family and friends, lovely decorations staff were very friendly and helpful, foods was nice and reasonable price.
Although the place was very busy the staff were all smiling and attentive. The food (ploughmans) was delicious but I thought it needed more salad, (tomatoes, cue, leaves peppers ).
