A lovely bar on the station at Sowerby Bridge. Not often I visit as I live in the west of Scotland but pop in when I'm back down. The ales are complemented by the pork pies which are sourced locally. I'd recommend it!
A quirky refreshment room next to the railway station ... Very dog friendly and a great cup of coffee.
Good range of changing beers and very friendly bar staff, well worth a visit
Super hidden Gem !
Great range of beers a must call before or after your train journey !
Lovely service, great coffee, and was helped out with an umbrella when I’d mention I’d forgotten mine and it was raining outside !
Always a warm an freindly welcome. Highly recommended
This wonderful restored station building has a wealth of memorabilia from times past, and is a truly fascinating place to visit to enjoy a cup of tea, or coffee, and a light meal or sandwich. The whole place is crammed with superb signage, and lots of other items from old breweries, railways, bus companies, and all manner of quirky things from years gone by. Most of it comes from the local, or West Yorkshire area.
The interior is absoIutely spotless, and especially the lavatory, which is a pleasure to use. Too often now, many establishments which serve food, have a less than hygienic loo. It is always very reassuring to find one which is spick and span, and that is certainly the case here. Top marks to them for this.
lf you are interested in local history, or old railways, then you will find this establishment absolutely fascinating.
They have allsorts of items on sale too, like second hand books and bric a brac, all set out on tables.
All in all, this place is certainly worth a visit. I have been numerous times, and have always received a warm welcome from the owners.
Highly recommended.
Do check opening times though before visiting.
Really nice to have such an intetesting place to have a coffee in
Great place, great landlord, very friendly and knowledgeable about train times, serves food and offers a good selection of real ale. I love it
Nice and polite staff ,good service clean, interesting but not at all relaxing -could do with some softer chairs around that nice fire!
Amazing place
Lots of memorabilia
Very clean
Very friendly
Definitely will be back
Great place to call at while waiting for a train. Good range of hand Pulled ales available at a very reasonable price. Pick up a loyalty card and don't forget to get it stamped each time you call in.
Nice place for a coffee ☕ and table's with selling second hand products 👌
Really nice place good and friendly you can enjoy a choice of real ales and even have a pie. Whilst drinking your pint there are so many items of memrobelia to look at and most of all it's dig friendly. Definitely worth a visit.
The barman was lovely and couldn't help enough. He helped recommend cheaper tickets and was also recommending places to visit when in Manchester. It was lovely to have service with a smile and friendly chit chat.
One of my favourite pubs in West Yorkshire. Great for a stop in and a pint, ideal if you've missed your train. In fact, you may start wishing your train was cancelled.
Simple setup but nothing less than what you want or need. Coffees Teas snacks and a bar with good changing beer options and snacks. Great Whisky tasting nights too. :)
Very enjoyable lunch here very impressive railway carriages.Very varied menu&a good bar choice of spirits &ales.Lovely roaring fire when we were there.Definately will be returning.
I've not eaten here, but the JRR offers the most civilised break in a railway journey. A carefully selected range of beers and ciders, but also soft drinks and snacks. Nothing of the ordinary about the place at all. Other reviewers have commented on the sparse interior: I can say that the walls are now full of Sowerby Bridge-related ephemera; but more importantly the place has a feel like no other bar, pub or station. So, cast your views of coffee shops or bars aside and see this one-of-a-kind. My tip: ask the barman (normally Chris) what he recommends to drink: sounds obvious but with the ever-changing options he might just tempt you with something new!
Real ale, really good food and trainspotting, all in the unique setting of an old, repurposed railway building, decorated accordingly with lots of railwayana. What's not to love? 😉 Whether you want a breakfast bacon butty or a leisurely lunch, watching the trains go by, the Jubilee is a cosy place to be.
Excellent selection of cask ales and usually a decent pork pie. Always the first port of call in Sowerby Bridge. Lots of railway memorabilia.
Great place to stop off on a train journey, or even just a post-work pint!! Good rotating choice of ales, local pies + decent spirit selection!
