Just back from fab evening at nine deli with our own personal chef! Delicious food including vegan option. Nothing was too much trouble..we strongly recommend. We have already booked our meal tomorrow as best food in Southwold!
Vegans, try this place.
James made a batch of vegan scones for my partner and I, especially to order, so we could enjoy a vegan cream tea on the beach.
Scones were awesome. Light, fluffy, flavoursome. James is clearly a skilled baker. Served with a big smile and a few jokes, and extremely well priced. Best vegan scones I’ve ever had.
Will certainly be back for more scones next time we’re in Southwold, and maybe to try the vegan Thai curry too. Vegans, pop in and speak to James about your options for preorders - if he can make it for you, he will, and it’ll be delicious 👍🏼
Such a great place. Food cooked to order. Fresh quiche was cooked as we waited. The cheese salad was delicious with piles of Brie, wedges of cheddar and superb cream cheese. We’ll be back
Had a sausage and bacon ciabatta and wow was I full afterwards. Decent amount of bacon and sausage. Cooked to order so was completely fresh. All information was given and will definitely be back again for breakfast, lunch and dinner !
We called in on a stunning September day. Bought takeaway sandwiches...the 3 cheese mayo was delicious...well seasoned and generous filling in tasty fresh bread. Tuna mayo also lovely. Very reasonable prices....especially for Southwold! Will definitely visit again ...and have some homemade cake next time too!
James makes the best sandwiches in Southwold! (in my opinion). Full of fresh ingredients and served in tasty bread they almost don't fit into the sandwich wrappers they are so well filled. ninedeli is a great place to order sandwiches to take down to the beach - and there is lots of other food there to eat too. He is conveniently located on Pinkney's lane close to 'Gelato'. Well worth a visit!
If anyone knew prandium of Southwold which was a few doors down from the post office and closed in early 2020, the owner James moved closer to the beach and reopened as this place. As in my previous review of his establishment the food he serves is top notch! So if you like pizza, pasta or salad make your way here if you're coming to Southwold for the day or for a short stay. I chose pizza this time round and the pizza was so large I had to eat it over 2 days! It's very good value for Southwold, it is mainly takeaway based but there is limited seating now available.
I apologise to James not taking any pictures this time round! 😉 Update for march 2023, pictures are now attached, one of his roast chicken dinner one of his ham salad and one of chicken noodles. Again all three dishes were top-notch food, my mum still can't stop talking about the ham salad!
James is lovely and chatty. I only had a coffee and I'm sorry to say it was not good - violently bitter and served far far too hot. Some lighter beans and a lower brewing temp will solve these problems for what is otherwise a v nice little deli!
Probably the best hot chocolate I've ever had. Also really good of the owner, in that despite us not wanting to eat at Nine Deli, recommend the best options for what we were looking for. In this instance fish & chips. When we are next in this next of the woods for more than 24hrs we will 100% be pre-ordering one of the sea food platters.
Fantastic lunch here was easily the best meal we had in Southwold and everything was so fresh. Also dog friendly
