Mark's Fish Shop - Southwold - Photo album

Fresh fish, cooked to order in crispy batter, just about perfect after a long hike or amble around town. There’s space to eat at a table inside which is welcome if the weather is less favourable. Usual range of fried foods, reasonably priced and very tasty. Oh, and they make a decent cuppa tea.
Had some lovely fish and chips here. Very good portion size and tasty too. Staff very friendly and helpful. Ideally situated for takeaway to the commons nearby or has eat in facilities too.
We are down on holiday and fancied fish and chips. The staff were very friendly, helpful and served us quickly. The fish, scampi and chips we got were absolutely top notch! We would recommend Mark’s to everyone.
My sister lives in Southwold so myself and 2 children come to visit every few weeks and come to marks chippy every time we come down, the food is always cooked lovely and they have the best curry sauce in Southwold
We visited southwold with the family, including our furry family. We were welcomed by lots of friendly staff and the dogs were also welcome to sit in while we are. Really great decor and the food was amazing, if I lived nearer this would be my local. Highly recommend a visit here if your passing.
Great seaside fish and chips. Freshly cooked fish, not pre cooked and sat in a hot cupboard. Has some seating or takeaway. Good value comparable with other similar fish and chip shops. Friendly staff. A small wait should be expected as food is cooked to order. You can watch it being dipped in batt
Lovely find. Tasty food. And nice to be able to sit on and eat. Friendly servers. Reasonably priced.
Lovely light battered cod ab and chips - plenty of seats - our go to before the pub when we arrive in Southwold.
Excellent fish and chips, we had place and rock, all cooked to perfection. Service very good, Sue extremely friendly, polite and very attentive . Thank you to Sue and our chef.
Great location, nice that you can take your drinks out to the front, we watched the storm from the sea front! Downside is not much seating but they do have a beer garden
Excellent fish and chips, cooked while you wait (you may have to queue quite a while at busy periods!). Atmosphere: rough and ready, and none the worse for that. Beware: only open till 8pm and not at all Sunday evenings.
Quality fish and chips at a great price served by friendly staff. Going to Marks is always a highlight of my holiday and I’ve been there 3 times this week. You are always guaranteed a warm welcome and tasty fish and chips. Small portions are fabulous for mum. Love the sausages too. Hope they are sti
Not a bad little fish and chip shop. Service was decent, a little bit of a wait, but was somewhat busy. Fish was a tiny bit undercooked and could have done with a few more chips for the price (understand prices have gone up). Would probably come again off peak.
