All five of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I found the gammon cooked to perfection and very tasty. My wife is a vegetarian and she enjoyed her meal as well. All the meals were served on hot plates and portion sizes were just right. The staff were friendly and efficient. A most enjoyable experience

A most excellent plate of fish and chips. Perfectly brown and crispy batter over still juicy cod with crunchy golden chips, delicately minted mushy peas and creamy tartare. Great selection of beers on tap, plentiful outdoor seating and a children's play area. Superb.
Lovely food, great portion sizes even from the snack menu at a very good price.

Very nice place warm and welcoming. staff helpful table service to order. Lager beer garden and play area for kids. Food fantastic drinks for all. Plus car park on site.
Very very busy on my visit with some sort of garden event and live music. Shows its popular and loved, would want to return on a 'normal ' night tbf as service suffered a tad and hard to get served with folk getting served while I was just ignored at the bar waiting. Came here without a reservation after visiting The Workhouse. Staff were lovely and the food was delicious and generous portions. 100% recommend.

Just had Sunday lunch with 4 other friends.We had a really warm welcome on arrival and the customer service was first class.The Sunday roast was hot freshly cooked and very tasty and well worth the money Our group will be back !! David 👍

Visited for dinner early on a Saturday evening with no booking. Fitted the two of us in and gave us a table immediately. Friendly service, very good quality pub food and good quality cask ale. A very good pub served the best pub food we had while on holiday in Southwell.
