We have been a few Sundays in a row for Sunday lunches. The meals are always very well prepared and tasty. Everything is top notch. Both my wife decided on burgers (for a change).They were the best burgers we've had in ages.
The Staff are absolutely brilliant. They are so helpful and chatty. They make a fuss of the dog and fetch her water and treats. We keep going back. Very lucky to have this place on our doorstep.

The oldest pub in Southport and lovingly refurbished/maintained. Lots of railway memorabilia and really liked the William Morris wallpaper in the side room. Really enjoyed my well-kept Theakston’s XB Ruby Ale.
Apparently it is due to close then reopen shortly due to a change of landlord. Fingers crossed that this place thrives.
Love it here great food, great service great price cant go wrong here for propper pub grub in a nice atmosphere. Dog friendly and make you feel so welcome xx
First but not the last visit. Food, prices and staff so friendly. Genuinely. Cannot resonate to a few negative reviews. Definitely, not our experience. Traditional pub which is great.
Had lunch today, steak and ale pie followed by sticky toffee pudding, and it was brilliant. They have Neck Oil on tap and the beer was lush too. Great service. Will be going back and would recommend 👌
9 of us went for a birthday meal. Excellent service, good food and great value for money. Immediately booked for our next group meal.
Just had the most beautiful, mixed meat tasty roast delivered. Was absolutely spot on. Chocolate Fudge cake for afters..now in a food coma. Delivery driver is lovely too. Thanks!!! 20/10. You definitely need to try one x 👍👍👍👌👌👌👌👌
Without doubt one of the best pubs in Southport. Quality. Best pub food around, best quality beer too.
Really lovely food and great staff.. Sunday roast was amazing. Need to book earlier next time though. Homemade cheesecake was out of this world and it was a huge slice. X

What a fantastic pub had lunch today couldn't fault it steak pie and real chips top notch x great staff really friendly and best of all takes dogs, definitely returning very soon
