Can't recommend the Rocky Roads highly enough. If you want cake and a hot drink, Megafauna is the place to go in Southport. Fantastic coffee and great choice of other hot drinks like Turmeric Latte and London Fog. Also, it's the only cafe I've ever found that has a Maguire on the menu. Incredible.
Ben (Megafauna) supplied me with a large chocolate cake & 24 cupcakes of 4 different flavours (all vegan) for a small gathering my daughter was holding yesterday evening. The chocolate cake was so moist & the cupcakes were all absolutely delicious..... not a crumb was left. Everyone passed comments on how amazing they were. From my initial contact, via email, Bens responses were so impressively prompt...he emailed me a large list of cakes & flavours for me to choose from. I ordered the chocolate cake & then asked him to decide on the cupcake flavours for me...what a brilliant choice he made. I would highly recommend Ben and his cakes
Much appreciation for a serene oasis in Southport with warm friendly staff. Ace quiche with a surprise taste sensation~a layer of chutney. Yum. Fresh, locally sourced salad with samphire, a first for me which was delicious. The icing on the hazelnut cake was of course vegan & heavenly.

You supplied us with a big yummy chocolate fudge cake, and 24 cupcakes in 4 different flavours for 26 yogis tonight and all of them went!! Hands down (and being totally truthful!) your cake is the best vegan cake I've ever had!!! Everybody was asking who had made them and everybody absolutely loved them! Thank you so much - can't wait to try more of your food in your future!!

Ben's cakes are fantastic. He also made some pastries for me for a buffet and they were great too. I'd definitely recommend his catering.
It has been a pleasure to deal with Ben who gave us a menu of desert options to choose from for a Burns evening themed family gathering. We chose Lemon and raspberry tart, St. Clements cake and a Selection of Artisian Shortbread to serve with coffee. All were beautifully presented, a pleasure to the taste buds, very real but healthy at the same time. Lots of compliments received from three generations of guests who were a mix of vegan and meat eaters. A perfect way to end the meal. Thank you Ben, looking forward to next time, Jackie Yates.

I’ve eaten here twice in three days and am already planning the next visit! It’s fab to see the food selling out so quickly and the cakes are super yummy. Literally every flavour I’ve tried has been amazing, even ones that I might not ordinarily have chosen have made me stray away from the usual chocolate flavours and try something a bit more unusual! The lime and passionate fruit one today was amazing! Lovely atmosphere, just what Southport needs ���

Went to Megafauna today with my mum (meat eater) and my gf/ me (veggie) and what a treat! We had a wonderful breakfast butty each and are still full now at 6:30 at night!! only critique would be the hot drinks could have been better i recommend the minor figures barista oat milk for a thicker froth/easier steam. will deffo be coming again to try more of the menu! xx
Great place for vegan food. Took the whole family, some of the children weren't even vegetarian and they still enjoyed their lunch. Banana and matcha cake was superb. Nice decor and lots of vegan recipe books to look through.
I love megafauna! They are an all vegan restaurant with taste and inspiration! It was so lovely! I go every time I'm in Southport.
Slightly pricey, but quality products and really tasty food, not disliked anything I've ever had there.
me and my partner are here fairly regularly my partner who is a picky meat eater loves the drinks and snacks available. the staff are always welcoming and care a lot about providing great service
i recently had to go dairy free and megafauna makes it so easy to do i barely notice that im not having dairy.
we have yet to try the food but if its even half as good as the milkshakes and coffees itll be worth coming back for!

Lovely staff, even better food. Everything is completely Vegan. They have specials each day, a choice of alternative milks for coffee and tea. They also had a good range of cakes or sweet treats to choose from. The place was immaculate, including the loo. Love love love! Can't wait to come back.

Ben and the team provided amazing vegan food for a wedding shower I was having. The food was simply some of the best vegan food I have had in the 8 years I have been a vegan. Everyone loved the food and the meat eaters left ready to convert to veganism 😂 Ben and the team were really professional and I would highly recommend them. Will definitely be using again.
